De Jong

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

When I heard Andy Gray talking about the added time he was on City's side saying it was not right to add all the goal celebration time on. Maybe if it's more than usual you can add the extra bit but not all of it.

That goal celebration time is bollocks anyway and here's proof. Owen scored and celebrated, as soon as the match restarted the referee immediately blew his whistle (5 seconds later). Owen's celebration lasted way more than 5 seconds.

Utterly stunned by first post.

De Jong was by far and away the best player on the park in the first half. A flawless performence.

In the second half. Like the rest of the city team he was on the back foot. Unable to stem the constent U***d attacks. He was no better or worse than any City player on the pitch.

To single out De Jong is typical there has to be someone to blame behaviour. In this case it is completly out of order to point the blame at NDJ.

This really. I think this criticism of De Jong is completely over the top. He was MOTM for me against Arsenal and he was very good in the first half then looked a bit lost because Hughes suddenly changed to 4-4-2 which suddenly exposed out midfield a lot.

Okay, thats cheap seat reasoning. If there was something wrong with his play today you think I'd be holding back? Saying "well if he isn't doing stepovers people criticise" is bullshit, I thought he played well this week and poor last week. I have back both the fuckers up with reasons and stats why. Try taking the posts on face value for once without that crap "me too" shit.

So was bellamy before he came to us...what a waste of money. Some people want everyone to score goals. It`s not going to happen. Some players have to put a foot in...AND..that`s it..stop me if I``m losing you.

Hey you won't believe this.

But did you know defensive midfielders can be shite too?

Whether he's the best player we could have in that position (& I don't think he is) is one thing, to call him shite is just fucking ridiculous but unfortunately not surprising.

What was ridiculous, and also not surprising you stating that Adebayor had done nothing wrong with his stamp.

fuckin hell its getting tiresome here. Is it the edge, Slim and NQDP club? I know Slim has stated his case and I applaud the clueless idiot for that, we all know edge is completley clueless when it comes to football, then there is NQDP, he has a wealth of knowledge on city and was an amazing poster on here, but he has been taken over by aliens and is not the same poster as he used to be.

it seems to be a anti-clueless collective of cluelessness

Yep, I'm the kind of knob that's willing to give City players the benefit of the doubt , perhaps I'll learn a better way from you.

Talk about inflated self importance, your honest views are valued here as a forum, but giving him the 'benefit of the doubt' means absolutely nothing. your one fan of a six figure sum of city supporters,

Anyway this is about De Jong, and he's still shite.

Self importance because I'm willing to believe in him? How the fuck does that work? It's just my opinion.

Anyhow, I may just be one fan in a six figure sum but I bet you're the most negative fucker amongst them so actually you deserve a bit of self importance.. & a special hat.

De Jong plays as a holding midfielder. His job is to stop balls going through and 90% of the time he does a fine job. He has ny full backing.

But Zaba being a 100% player I totally agree with. Just like Kevin Horlock.
