So, to summarise MOTD, Wishire was frustrated and wouldn't have got sent off for it a couple of years ago and, hey, he is talented. In the main, he only got sent off in the current climate i.e. de Jong got him sent off.

I don't know why they still wind me up, but they do. Guess Sunday supplement will be showing how de Jong getting the ball was so much worse than Wilshire's straight legged, studs up foul, which included a follow through from his trailing leg.

Break a leg................................oh, no he didn't!

DeJong didn't fly through the air with his studs up like Wilshire though, he won the ball perfectly cleanly.

There was a tackle in the Villa Chelsea game which almost resulted in a Villa goal, wehich was almost identical to DeJong's; Warnock won the ball then his other leg came round & caught the player. He went in harder than DeJong but there was no foul, no injury no complaints & no mention of it. There would have been no mention of DeJong's challenge either if not for the unfortunate injury. This witch hunt is a fucking disgrace.

In fairness, Match of the Day never actually criticised De Jong for the challenge.

In fairness, that is only because the editor dropped his notes

Nowt like de jongs pal, Wiltshire was studs up over the top of the ball and got him in the groin with his trailing leg - an illegal challenge where as de jongs was legal and fair

Apparently there was a also a nasty scissor tackle by Eboue just before it.

Yes it was a nasty tackle by Eboue (more intentional than Wilshere's) and he only got a yellow. I thought it should have been a red.
Good news that Wilshere is out for our match, he can be a handful. Bad news is that Fabregas and Walcott are fit again !
