Adebayor is....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Where is the player who destroyed Arsenal?

Find me that player and we can all talk business.

If anything the near death experience should have planted a Tevez attitude into his little pea head. Play every minute of the game likes its your last.

At the moment, he is a waste of a position.

No one can say he hasnt been given a chance. Plenty of starts now and the goal flood gates are barely threatening to open are they?

Incorrect. He has had just one start in the league this year, we are only 8 games in, he has played less than 2 hours of football and has had an injury.

Last season when he did get starts he scored 14 in 26 league appearances.

His stats SHOULD warrant our patience.

Ade today seems dazed and confused, but we must be happier thinking the next game will be gooners at home and he'll undoubtly miss it!

The problem is that after today's performance, if I were the manager, I'd be very, very wary of giving him another start, and if I did, I'd be ready to sub him after 30 minutes if what he produced was like today. And that would definitely burn him forver at the club.

much better than his current form shows.

Play him again mid week and hope he turns it around. Showed a few nice touches today, that said also showed a lot of rust and some poor choices, perhaps trying too hard?

As a Citizen from Rome told me by phone some minutes ago ... ARIDATECE ROQUE SANTA CLAUS! that means: Roque Santa Claus back again in squad! Ade is a black oak!

A good striker...though being off form he is high class, i do have my doubts of him though. I just don't see him and Tevez being a good combination,or atleast for a string of games. I'll be a bit sad when/if he does leave, think it may be time unless he changes his head for good

I would love nothing better than to see that fantastic smile on his face once again. Come what may, we are stuck with him a wee while yet. So cut the guy some slack and give him a (virtual) hug.

I understand how disappointed a lot of Blues feel about him. Although, I also appreciate that he's nowhere up to speed, due to lack of matchplay this season. He should be given a chance to prove himself with a few consecutive games in my oppinion. We have all seen that he's a decent player when he's in full flow so let's judge him after a good run in the team methinks.

His lack of control was the biggest disappointment, and it seemed to bother him too, for people that say he doen't care. Seemed to have lost all skill. Better give him a go against Poznan to make sure!

How about giving the guy a bit of time before writing him off? I'm sure United fans are still backing Rooney and Liverpool fans Torres. This kind of talk makes the fans look like proper ungrateful, shallow bastards.

Are you for real? - Ade wants out and wants to go to Juventus but we must remain fucking grateful?...the mind boggles !!
Thank fuck Mancini also saw that he was shit today (again) and put on our saviour instead to win us the game.

Strikers thrive on goals and all he needs is to get a couple of goals under his belt and we'll see the better side of him again. Arsenal are coming up next week and if he puts in the performance like he did last season against them we will all love him again.

He was shit but if anyone says he lacked effort, like many of the usual mindless criticisms, then they are full of shit imo. He tried hard. That's not neccesssarily a good thing though because he tried, probably ran more than Tevez 1st half, but was still fucking hopeless. He was also, as usual, criminally, awfully, stupidly, offside.

We've seen the talent the bloke has though, so there's no doubt he can perform at the required level if he's firing on all cylinders. The big question imo is whether he will get his shit together & fire for City, or whether he has to go in Jan & we sign a replacement or rely on another complete fucking headcase (Balotelli) to produce instead. Neither option is a good one.

Either way, even if we win the fucking treble, giving Craig Bellamy to Cardiff, is & will always be, one of the stupidest fucking moves in the history of MCFC. If we had him now we would be fucking laughing our cocks off & battering everybody.

The main thing that bellamy had was great mojo and flow with tevez, they worked great together (not to mention his class as a striker). thats what ade lacks that flow, he tried and may score goals for us one day but the key were looking for was already given away

I too still thinks that he just needs to get on a roll. I think we look more of a threat with him on the park and Tevez looks better for him being there. I also think he is having a little crisis of confidence. I don't want to write him off yet, because he can be devastating. If we can get him going again,we could be unstoppable. Having said that, if Balotelli lives up to his billing, Ade could be nearly out of time already.

Before yesterday I would have agreed. But Tevez certainly looked better with him off the park at Blackpool!
