Adebayor is....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Like I said at the time when he started spouting crap about football being secondary thing in life in summer, when player does that there's only one way his career goes after that and that's down the toilet. Adebyor was hardly very active player even before this, when he apparently thought football is top priority.

We should've sold him summer and bought Dzeko or some other top hungry centerforward. Hopefully that will be corrected in january's window or at least in summer.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We've seen the talent the bloke has though, so there's no doubt he can perform at the required level if he's firing on all cylinders. The big question imo is whether he will get his shit together & fire for City, or whether he has to go in Jan & we sign a replacement or rely on another complete fucking headcase (Balotelli) to produce instead. Neither option is a good one.

Either way, even if we win the fucking treble, giving Craig Bellamy to Cardiff, is & will always be, one of the stupidest fucking moves in the history of MCFC. If we had him now we would be fucking laughing our cocks off & battering everybody.

LOL - We are 2nd Ted !!..3 points better off than 3rd spot and only 2 points from top place - Im already laughing my cock off.

We're fine so long as Tevez doesn't get injured or tired. If he does we're relying on Ade or a 19 year old kid to win us the title.

While I think you have been bit overly negative recently, I fully agree with this. There's fuck all we can do about it right now but should Tevez get injured we'd be looking at uninterested Adebayor, simply not good enough and unable to stay fit Santa Cruz and/or supertalented but still only 19 year old kid who is coming back from injury to carry us going forward. That's a mighty big risk. I'm not sure Bellamy would've been the answer but I'm not happy we let Dzeko slip away and we should've at least got someone with proven goal scoring record as back up.

I'm not being negative, it's just that I think we're almost there as a team/club to do everything right now, this season, & we're actually creating our own problems rather than covering them in the easiest most sensible manner. We can't always keep getting away with it. I don't believe Bellamy would have caused so much trouble & would have been a fantastic deputy for Tevez & dumping him is an example of that kind of unneccessary gamble. As you say we've not replaced him. If we had, I wouldn't be referring to it so often.

Having said that, somewhere out there is the next 'world's best striker' & now we've gone down the road of gambling on Balotelli, perhaps if we unearth someone of similar talent it would be a worthwhile gamble to bring him in & use both. Tbh, I actually think Balotelli will be mind blowingly fantastic but even so, he's still a gamble & could go mental overnight.

dzeko would have been a big risk. not sure who else is out there really. would not be looking at an italian, all a bit iffy at the moment. torres would walk to manchester now, i reckon. that's who we will go for in january.

however, i still say that forlan would be the man for me. i know all the rag stuff, etc, but he looks the dog's whenever i see him for urugauy or atletico. i love his effort, very tevez like, all commitment and sweat on the shirt. his pace is also unsettling for defences.

furthermore, he is available, i think.

A short term veteran signing may be a possibility in Jan imo if Ade doesn't shape up but I don't think we'd be willing to spend much money on such a transfer.

Hey...Ade got slagged off quite rightly before todays game...today he played a great game for the most part but for me Silva ran the show...and put 2 of his goals on a plate for him.

Now you were saying?

Played a good Centre Forward's role tonight. Against weak opposition, granted.
