City players past and present who could do no wrong

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

City players past and present who could do no wrong

Postby HeyMark » Wed Oct 20, 2010 7:53 pm

Inspired by the thread on players people couldn't take to, who are the players you loved for no reason, even if they were shit?

For me its,

Samaras
Roque
Sun Jihai
Willo Flood

Niall Quinn
Uwe Rosler

and to be honest most of the other players around that time as I was a kid and they were my heroes.

Now as a 31 year old I just sneer at all footballers who just taking too much money from the game and can't really think any of them can do much right.

I'll defend little Shauny to the ends of the earth.
in general it's rubbish players i tend to stick up for and excuse. I did a lot of defending Danny Mills and Vass.
Also I spent a helluva lot of time standing Goater's corner before he became popular! For such a club legend he was truly despised in his first full season.
In fact he induced my second favourite ever "Bloke behind me" quote as an anguished voice bellowed, " Goater! You jump like a .....House plant!"

Likewise. I always assumed you, LookMum and PoC were about 23-24. Don't know why.
