Arse and talk through, spring to mind. Now, what did you say about Ade ;-)

Hey...Ade got slagged off quite rightly before todays game...today he played a great game for the most part but for me Silva ran the show...and put 2 of his goals on a plate for him.

Now you were saying?

I'm with Beefy here, Ade was fantastic tonight, and if a few more of the balls he was served were not at waist height it might have been 4 or even 5.

They always give the MOM to a hatrick man but for most fans it was Silva who ran that performance tonight and deserved that award.

Silva motm by a country mile! Yes ade got a hat-trick but some of his touches were awful and he gave the ball away a lot in the first half. Silva is just pure class!

i don't care if he doesn't work off the ball he's a centre forward. the guy's technique in front of goal is devestating. yes he needs to be fed, and there are better strikers out there we could bring in, but i really like ade he's a character and the other players seem to genuinely like him.

For the first time this season (and most of last) the actually stayed in the centre forward's role and didn't run out to the wings at every opportunity and block Johnson/Silva/SWP from doing their job.

He stayed in the middle, found his space in the box and benefitted from some great crosses from Silva. We sorted out our delivery from out wide and Adebayor stays in the middle and doesn't drift out wide he will score 1 goal in every 2 games.

Ade's got tremendous talent, working dead hard & now scoring goals. What more could we ask for? Well....something tbh. Even when he scores 3 goals there's something...I don't know but it just doesn't look right. I like him, I rate his talent very highly but there's a kind of element of chance feeling about everything he does rather than the feel of a ruthless killer. It just doesn't feel right to me, not for a top team anyway. I recon Mancini will feel the same.

I've looked at him, thought about it & well...put it this way; If I was Mancini, I wouldn't envisage relying on Ade in the Champ's lg final. Therefore, he'll sign a replacement imo & Ade will become 4th choice striker used in games like last night, or go.

I know what you're saying. He just doesn't look right! If you envision City players being cartoons/comic book figures, Tevez would be the Thing, de Jong the Hulk, Barry Captain America and AJ Robin. Well, Ade would be:

Agree with this apart from working dead hard. I don't think he was lazy but he could have worked harder.I do think the first 2 goals were excellently taken even allowing for weak opposition.

Silva MotM without a doubt though.

his talent has never been in doubt, its his attitude. if he is willing to work in every game then he doesnt deserve to play. good to see him get off the mark though

Agree with this, his style is a bit strange.. but it works when he is on song and his touch is sublime. The key is getting him on song.

I dont think he has had an opportunity since he first arrived to get into any kind of rhythm going. He got banned and frustrated by that, then he gets shot at and fell to bits.. he didnt really get back from that last season. That takes us to this season, the start of which he lost the plot again, since then Mancini has told him to sort it out and he has tried to get back in there.. better performances and then now a payoff of a hatrick.

I still think he was only about 60% - 70% up to speed last night but it was enough for some better touches and resulting goals.

So maybe i am being too patient and being too considerate of last seasons circumstances, but i hope not and if he gets a run of games and shows that he can get a level of performance in each game he plays, then as he has shown he is dangerous and effective. if we persevere just that little bit longer we could well have a 20 goal a season striker. I want that and im sure everyone at City wants that, Ade knows he is up against it and has to deliver now.. there will not be the patience for more fuck-ups and problems or turn up when you want attitude.

Silva seems to have got him sussed based on last night.. i have an optimistic feeling Ade and Balotelli are going to hit it off and all previous criticism of Ade will go out of the window. Maybe yes he is best when the ball is delivered right to him, but if we develop the ability to do that he may well be devastating and popping goals in for fun.

I am convinced last season he never got going and never had concentration levels required, im happy to write it off and not let it influence me on what he is like. It is up to him but he can change the whole perception of what we think of him this season.

His reaction to his first goal was telling.. brushed himself off; then went and got into good positions to get two more.
