He just doesn't cut it at this level - give the ball away like that against Chelsea, Inter and Scum-of-old and you'll pay dearly for it.
Great fella, great attitude, just not at it.
Compare him to David Silva who shows great runs, skill etc but hardly ever gives the ball away. Cant really follow why people cant see this problem in SWP, it's pretty blatant.

But Mike do you really think 'a few glimpses of ability' is what we need to conquer the world?

he is part of a SQUAD so yes i think he is very needed. SWP is a very good player.

Maybe its because hes not played much recently, I'm not too sure, but he needs to up his game if he wants to play in th 1st team, which I don't think he will have much chance of.

If you remember in the old days, when he played for KK, he would run round the back of the fullback & Ali B or Eyel would slot the ball through so he was in that exact position, then he'd just square the ball easily into the path of Goat or Wanchope for a tap in, like clockwork. He'd be trained by KK & Pearce to do it. Now I recon he fucks up 8 out of 10 of those positions & he's been like that since he came back from Chelsea.

I know here your coming from, he's not 21 any more, he will be 29 on Monday, he should have enough experience now to play better than he does, I cannot see him improving and I believe from now on he will just be warming the bench.

While i will admit longer term swp needs to find some form and put in some performances and look to improve, but that is no different from any other player. So he has been out, not had a run of games and is rusty, what is the difference between that and Tevez's rustyness at the start of the season, Adebayors rustyness in the last few games before last night and David Silva's rustyness before the last few games ?
While we are at it, Lescott needs games, Micah also, Boateng and Kolarov, oh and Balotelli will too. What happens if Mario's touch is a bit off in his first game back.. should we chuck him in the dustbin?
Adebayor has just taken a few cameo slots and a couple of games to get about 60/40 up to speed, some people would have had him in the EDS permanently a couple of weeks ago and now he has made a small piece of City history.
Give players a fuclin chance and more importantly have some perspective and consideration for circumstances. If you dont know what that means, it means if a player has been out for a few weeks than he might be off the pace for a while.

What's the difference you say mate? He's always the same that's what, whereas Silva is now world class in a matter of weeks. Cant believe how many people just see 'dear little Shaunie' without looking at the performances in front of them. As Ted says he's never actually 'improved' and still loses the ball as much as ever. My Chelsea mates say exactly the same. Good player, but just not at our level.
