Sorry guys he had a few runs but gave the ball away a huge number of times - an incredible number. I didn't see anything different from his performances in the last 12 months. He just doesn't cut it at this level - give the ball away like that against Chelsea, Inter and Scum-of-old and you'll pay dearly for it.

Great fella, great attitude, just not at it.

Compare him to David Silva who shows great runs, skill etc but hardly ever gives the ball away. Cant really follow why people cant see this problem in SWP, it's pretty blatant.

I thought he was close to embarrassing. I used to watch him playing at Platt lane as a kid & he was my favourite player when he got through to the 1st team but his lack of football intelligence is worse now than it was then! Stuart Pearce coached him personally, specifically not to make the very mistakes he constantly makes now. It's just not good enough. He should have worked harder at his game rather than thinking he'd made it when he left City. I would love him to be a regular player in this team but I honestly can't see him being here next season & it's all his own fault. Waste of a huge talent. That makes me sad.

he is part of a SQUAD so yes i think he is very needed. SWP is a very good player.

He should be more than a 'very good player'. He was a star when he left City. Imo, what he produced v Poznan isn't good enough to keep him at the club. He doesn't have much time to sort that out, otherwise unfortunately, his place in the squad will be taken by someone else now the squad numbers are limited.

He needs to watch Silva play, he always looks up and is aware of his surroundings, in the second half Shauny ran down the right wing, Adebayor stepped back for a pass, Shaun never looked up and tried a pass into the six yard area, which got blocked, he should be better than that , even young kids are taught to look up and pick a pass, also he seems to dither when passing and it always seems to get blocked. He'd be trained by KK & Pearce to do it. Now I recon he fucks up 8 out of 10 of those positions & he's been like that since he came back from Chelsea.

I know here your coming from, he's not 21 any more, he will be 29 on Monday, he should have enough experience now to play better than he does, I cannot see him improving and I believe from now on he will just be warming the bench.

Adebayor has just taken a few cameo slots and a couple of games to get about 60/40 up to speed, some people would have had him in the EDS permanently a couple of weeks ago and now he has made a small piece of City history.

Give players a fuclin chance and more importantly have some perspective and consideration for circumstances. If you dont know what that means, it means if a player has been out for a few weeks than he might be off the pace for a while.

He is inconsitent yes, which is why i say long term he needs to keep improving his game. But last season he got 7 goals 4 of which got us draws. Some good goals and games too. season before that he got 8.
Im not saying he is the best player obviously, but he is good and gets better with games and the confidence that goes with that.

Im arguing that after his first game back he shouldn't be jumped on and trashed thats all. There will come a game where he makes the difference for us. If he keeps underperforming then yes he will not feature and we can all slag him off.
