***Official City v Arsenal Thread***

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:15 am

Less than 4 hours to go and no thread (tut, tut, tut).

Anyway, you know I love the Beebs preview so here's a little Head-to-Head news:

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Between 1994 and 2006 Arsenal won seven successive league games away to Man City.

• However, City have won three of the last four top-flight games at Eastlands (four of five including a League Cup win in December).

Man City

• Carlos Tevez's two goals against Blackpool made him the Premier League's leading South American goalscorer. He has 56 goals, two clear of Uruguayan Gus Poyet.

• Tevez has scored 28 goals in his last 31 league games. He has netted seven of City's 12 league goals this season.

• City are the only side yet to score a headed Premier League goal this season.

Arsenal

• The Arsewipes have not kept a clean sheet in their last 15 league and cup away games. The last away match in which they did not concede was a Premier League game at Aston Villa on 27 January which finished goalless.

• The Arsewipes have won one of their last eight Premier League away games.

• Arsewipes have attempted 121 shots on Premier League duty this term, more than any other side. City's tally of 70 is the fourth lowest in the top flight.

Come On City!!!
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I reckon, if we score first, it'll make for a really exciting game. However, we'll need a two-goal cushion to stand any chance of winning.

If we do win, it'll be quite bittersweet. A big win, but it'll temporarily stop anyone challenging the dirty Chav b*st*rds for the league.

Hmm, suppose I was expecting Ade not to start but what sort of message is this sending to players? Score a hat trick and you still won't make the team?

Oh well, in Mancini we trust, he's not doing bad so far! Come on City!
