I would have given Boateng a higher score, possibly a 6, the same for Barry.

I don't want to jump on his back just yet as its still early but I really am struggling to see why we bought Milner. He lacks pace and has a fairly poor first touch for someone who costs close to £25M. I feel with both Milner and Barry in the same starting 11 we are wasting a position which can be filled by a much more attacking player such as AJ or even Ade (and mario when fit)

Don't be daft KK. Milner's skill and passing can be brought into question but he always has the right attitude and is one of the hardest working players in the squad.

Agree more or less but imo Boateng wasn't worth 4 so 3, Milner's workrate was fantastic so 7 & I thought Silva was absolutely superb in the circumstances, vision, skill, workrate so 9 & MOTM Silva for me.

Joe: 5 - Let 3 goals in but redeemed a little by saving penalty.

Micah: 6 - Some good runs and an above average defensive display (for him). Let 3 goals in.

Dedryk: Zero - Didn't get enough time to judge after the naive challenge; will he learn? His fault we let 3 goals in.

Vince: 6 - Worked tirelessly but didn't have the experience around him to effect a decent game. Let 3 goals in.

Jerome: 5 - Got/has been move/d around to much and will never get a decent rating while switched around the pitch. Let 3 goals in.

Nige: 7 - MotM for me, got exactly what I expected but one man can't do it all. A lot of possession and some good distribution.

Gaz: 5 - Should never have been played at LB, especially so early. Worked hard but once again not played in his natural position.

Jim-Bob: 6 - Worked hard and set-up a couple of chances. Run out of steam and looked exhausted at the end.

Yaya: 4 - Looked exhausted after 5 minutes and passing seemed totally off. His he too big for the role?

Dave: 7 - Worked tirelessly in defence and attack with a couple of good chances.

Carlos: 5 - Tried but seemed to get injured early. Was that 'Break' thing real?

Subs:

Wayne: 5 - Not played a regularly and not much of an impact; wrong choice. Let 2 goals in.

Ade: 4 - Had a couple of chances and fluffed 'em, worked hard though. Pointless after 70 mins, the service was fucked.

Mario: 3 - Got what I expected, which wasn't much. Bad time to get your Premier League debut.
