A real pickle.
Think they should be banned for bringing the game into disrepute.

Couldn't agree more.

Well surprised to read Given was with them as well, some example he's setting the younger lads eh? We never saw Bergkamp, Zola, Cuntona Torres etc rolling around shitfaced at parties/nightclubs making cunts of themselves. Johnson has the world at his feet but seems to be pissing his career up the wall along with Hart. I agree with IBH on this one now, no more excuses for getting in that state and behaving like that during the season.

Except set 7 world records since that picture came out. I do know he does like to drink alcohol and even has a couple of DUI's on his record.

Don't know about that though. Cuntona liked his wine and Bergkamp was apparently no stranger to drinks. Didi Hamann used to be praised about his professionalism when in fact he was regular to dogs, huffing 20 fags a day and enjoying his pint.
On a sidenote, does anyone remember years ago this feller coming to board telling everyone how he had been on fishing trip in Scotland with Paul Bosvelt. Said they had shared few joints and was apparently great when he was high? One of the more surreal moments. Almost as good as when that one dude told that if you take bleep test, you will ejaculate for your stomach.

Have to comment on this as I was the one with Bosvelt and two other Dutch players and they were on a fishing trip in Ireland. I have to say it was one of the craziest weekends I spent in years and the local lads still talk about it when I go back to visit but they were on holiday and to be honest they spent a large part of their time just drinking and hanging out with the locals despite the fact that they were staying at a prestigious establishment nearby. They enjoyed the Craic in the local bars because essentially they were working class lads like the rest of us, but when they blew off steam they were hard to keep up with and being in a hardcore fishing community on the west coast of Ireland there were plenty of well seasoned drinkers to keep them company, and in fairness they drank most of us under the table. I guess the combination of being a top class athlete and really only occasionally being let off the leash does lead to a few crazy nights but they are only human like the rest of us and I can't prescribe to the money or total professionalism arguments because thankfully we don't live in an Orwellian world quite yet.

Ah, it was you. I remembered it was someone who just came and went. Sorry. Class story nevertheless!

I agree that the stasi should not have been decommissioned, and how dare any man who plays for our club have a drink or a cigarette...do gooders, particularly those who tell other people whats bad or good for them drive me feckin nuts, I always wonder what their agenda is. Do they do it to feel superior or to make themselves feel better or is it just that they really want to help people because they know the poor souls are incapable of helping themselves...answers on a postcard please.

What the fuck are you on about?
They are PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES earning £1/2 million every month ......... temperance should be a minimum requirement.

Why do you feel that temperance should be a minimum requirement, is it because you fear for their welfare and health, the club and their ability to play or are you just a free presbyterian missionary trying to 'convert' the natives to your RIGHT way of thinking? I'm genuinely intrigued by your motives...
ps maybe teachers, policemen, heart surgeons, etc should not have a drink or a smoke it might interfere with their essential contribution to the collective...and that would never do..would it?
