Spot on I felt the same way, except I thought he should fuck off about a month after joining us when he started spouting shit via the press on a daily basis

We were LINKED to him before he moved to Blackburn for 3.5m. Obviously Sven thought that price was bit on the steep side. I'd agree with him.

Debatable. 23 goals in his first season more than covers that transfer fee, and the consensus among City fans at the time was that we'd missed a trick. 3.5 million in 2007 was a steal, 17 million in 2009 was a mistake.

I will only put in a fuel claim for the milage when i drive him to which ever championship club he will join - avoiding the pot holes on the way, dont want to damage the glass fuck before we get there!

Only thing thats worked on him since we signed him is his gob!

Roque - Tevez happy at City

Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz claims there is no rift between Carlos Tevez and manager Roberto Mancini.

City forward Santa Cruz was quoted as saying that Argentine forward Tevez is not enjoying life at Eastlands and that he is missing his family back home.

This has sparked speculation that the 26-year-old is unhappy at the club, adding fuel to the fire that he is also frustrated under Mancini.

However, while Paraguay international Santa Cruz does not deny that his fellow South American is missing his family, he claims there is no major problem and insists there is no rift with Mancini.

He told Sky Sports: "His relationship with the manager is as good as with any other manager.

"They may have some differences in terms of what they think in the game but that's what football is all about.

"The atmosphere in the club is not in terms of people thinking about Tevez and the manager.

"There is no such thing and their relationship is the same as any professional relationship you can have with any other manager.

"Carlos and the manager are doing the best for the club and Tevez is very passionate. In terms of what they want for the club - they just want the best."

Santa Cruz also insists Tevez is still enjoying his football, adding: "I'm sure that he is enjoying it, you can see by the way he plays football that he is enjoying it.

"I was just saying everybody would love to be around their family in their own country.

"He loves the club and even though he would love to be around his family and his daughters, that's something we're living with."

He was good for Blackburn for a season but Hughes paid over the odds, then he was crocked, and he's been mostly rubbish ever since. So after his latest talk to the media he can fuck right off, just go. His comments about Tevez wanting to go home are in The Mirror too, they make a headline out of Tevez "wanting to leave", yet right at the end of the article RSC himself says he thinks Carlos will see out his contract at City and only then retire to Argentina. Lousy player and lousy journalism.

He was never anything more than average, in germany or england. A most disgraceful purchase and i wish he was elsewhere.

Even if we let him go cheaply, I view it as a saving. He isn't likely to play and we offload some of the wage bill.

I really don't know what people are complaining about. He has been a model 4th choice striker.

well I never thought he was any good. Even when he had his wonder season. There was lot of debate about him at the time and people who were here will approve this.

He was poor, injury prone and heavily overrated player in Germany. One that Bayern tried to ditch for a long time. I thought 3.5 m was alright price for system striker ie target man who needs wingers feeding him for a club aiming for midtable. Completely useless player, even in theory, for a team aiming for the top. But as said, it's not his fault we spent that money on him.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well if you straight up don't rate him and never have then that's fair enough. I'd still argue that he was better (and better value) than our striking options back then. I also remember the game at Eastlands in around Dec 07 when he scored twice for Blackburn and was excellent (as was David Bentley - how quickly times change). What Petrov would've given for such a target-man.

I used to read the site back then, just not post, so I know what you're saying. He was a more popular figure then than he is now, though!
