Our owner plows billions into the club, we sign players of a standard we have never seen before, we have shot up from no where to a serious club challenging for top honours ...

and some people buy shirts and stuff from another source and NOT from the club and therefore not putting any money back in .

There is a clue in the word "supporter" , it means exactly that ...... anyone who buys from an unofficial site is just following City and not supporting City. There is a difference.

What if you buy a bottle of coke on the way to the ground and not in the ground itself? Is that "not supporting City"?

I've no time for ugly t-shirts whether they're £40 or £10, but your logic is perplexing.

I understand why people would think like Mark.......however......I wasn't the idiot who chose to give Mark Hughes £42m and £180k a week to sign Roque Santa Cruz and Lescott, or £200k a week for Toure, so in light of the fact the football clubs, even Manchester City are setup to be drains on supporters' resources and the main beneficiaries are the players - don't be so naive to think it is the supporter who is the main beneficiary of Mansour's millions.

In light of the club's decisions to spend all that money, I am taking my own free and conscious decision NOT to spend a single penny on the ridiculously overpriced food/drink inside the ground, and I am certainly not going to accept when the club bring out 5 new shirts in 2 seasons with the sole intention of trying to relieve me of my money for overpriced tat.

I would feel somewhat hypocritical not making a stand when I ripped the arse out of United fans for their club attempting to exploit the fans at every turn with shirt changes, the megastore, etc etc, unfortunately, it seems that we are little different, other than presently not being quite as adept as they are at fleecing the fans.....but give it time

very narrow minded.

I have x amount to spend on city stuff, ill spend it regardless, this just falls outside the x for me. For example i will get to an extra game by buying this top as opposed one off city, city still get my money and i still have the latest top to wear the odd time, you get me?

Spot on!

Am I not supporting Man City if I use British Airways rather than Etihad?

I got my jerseys in the mail the other day, though one is still one its way because apparently my tevez jersey was shipped a few days after. It took exactly a month to get to canada , maybe a day or two less (i forgot to check the mailbox), which i didn't mind at all, i'm a happy customer. I'll try to post some pics when i get the tevez jersey, not sure anyone would be interested in seeing a barcelona or real madrid jersey haha.

On the debate of buying these jerseys, like i said i'm happy. I wouldn't have a huge issue with buying official city tops if they were just a little bit cheaper, though i suppose the price they have it as enables them to sell enough jerseys so it doesn't raise questions. It's their loss, i want to buy a real city jersey, but instead i just bought three jerseys for the same price..maybe less.

I haven't gottan it yet, unless you ment a barcelona away? which i have, and also an madrid home, from what i can tell they seem legit they look so sick to me, i was sad my city ones didn't arrive first though. But yeah your right about them having to be a lot cheaper, i forgot how expensive they were, and i always get confused with our currency differences. Unfortunately though i don't think it will change..but we can be glad we have this website that produces some pretty legit jerseys, even if it does take a month to get here!

i use the terms pretty legit not in its actually meaning, more of a slang of looking good, and to add to that looking good considering what we pay.

I've seen loads of sites selling kids kits, but none of them have the brand on them for some reason. I'd stay clear to be honest

Just by the real one FFS. Scamming your own club.

Would you have looted the Market Street shop if you could have?
