Mine was at Forest in the cup. Called off on Saturday and was hastily rescheduled for Tuesday. Lost 2-1.
First one without me Dad was Villa Park 1981. Lost 1-0 to A Garry Shaw goal I think. But I was hooked.

HUGE thanks to spiv for sorting me out there!
Have to say that on the match day when I was at the hotel and I tried to call him and as there was no answer or "the dialled number can't be reached" I was really nervous as for me all of this sorting tickets stuff was new and I hadn't met anyone from this board yet!* (and I had organised to my father this birthday trip and of course watching City was the big thing)
A while later he answered and said everything's fine so I calmed down too. Then met him, his wife if I recall properly. Some other blues in the Irish Pub nearby. Then met some other board members like NQDP and the legendary Kippax, xavi with his old man. Anyway that's not the case.
Rather entertaining match, Neddy got through and made a piss poor shot and everyone was going 'for fucks sake' but the keeper made a proper clanger. Stevie scored the other and someone was climbing in the big nets that was in front of the stands with fans singin "that boy is spider-man, that boy is spider-man". not the greatest of songs but we still remember and laugh for that with my father.
Ended 2-2, a good result for the 1st leg considering it was an away match.
*edit: Actually I met NQDP on a train from the airport.

I was 12 year old. My Mate's elder brother ran to us Burnden park in his brand new mini. They had loads of money cos their parents owned the local offy in Withington which was a proverbial goldmine.
I remember it was a terrific atmosphere and those days there was no crowd segregation. We were surrounded by Bolton fans and I recall feeling very intimidated.
Things got worse when we took the lead through Law just before half time and I was thinking at that point whether we were going to get out of the ground in one piece.
In the second half Wanderers got an early goal and went on to win 3-1 so you can imagine the taunts we got from the home fans but at least we escaped unscathed.
I got back home in time to join in the bonfire night celebrations and wondering if I would have made it back if city had have won.
There was no mass hooliganism those days but invariably there would be skirmishes in the crowd due to the lack of segregation.
We finished in 12th place that season which was also notable for the infamous 6 goals scored by Law in the abandoned 4th round FA cup tie with Luton which was abandoned with City leading 6-2 with 20 mins left!!! Typically we lost the replay 3-1 with Law scoring again!
