Been some great stuff going forward, reminiscent of Hughes' team at it's best. Unfortunately the defending is also reminiscent of Hughes' team. The ref is doing my fucking head in though, really giving every 50/50 decision to Wolves.

If we get through this with 3 points Mancini's decision to play Boateng at left back may go unnoticed because Wolves' best player is on the other side & Boateng is up against nothing but the bloke is doing EVERYTHING wrong. Some of his positional play is like watching a 14 year old kid or Gelson Fernandes. If he's going to play 2nd half, Mancini needs to really work with him at half time or otherwise the danger being caused by Jarvis will lead to us concentrating on him & forgetting Boateng's side & Wolves will score from Boateng being out of position or ball watching.

mancini needs to think again about defending set pieces; if you plant everyone in the box, any clearance is coming back immediately. and it has in this half too.

anyone else have a growing sense of fear about boateng? too early too tell yet?

Balotelli off imho and bring Johnson on.

Yaya has been shit all season. He's played like this in every match so far. Constantly looks tired, shows little desire to get back or forward and generally adds nothing to the game.

Admittedly he needs time to get used to the Prem, but it's amazed me that he's got so much praise this season from many supporters because I've seen sod-all from him so far. I'm not sure what I've missed!

We're still in this game. If we step up a gear and start knocking the ball around like we did in the first 20 minutes we'll find another goal soon enough. I'd give it 10 mins or so in the 2nd half then perhaps look to bring Johnson on and move Milner into the centre, probably for Yaya unless he improves.

Sums it up perfectly. Boetang worries me and Balo needs to come off.

Depends on your expectations of him.

I definitely did not expect him even to be a definite starter this season. If you thought he'd be one of the first names of the back four on team sheet you have a reason to worry imo.
But imho he has not been any better or worse than what I saw in WC.

He's had some decent games for us. I don't understand how you can make that statement.

AJ was probably planned to come on anywAy seciond half so i shouldn't worry about that too much.
Yaya is struggling imo. and generally we are trying to learn to cope without deJong's back up

Im not too worried about this in a way as i figured we would need to get used to missing what deJong does.

Good aspect is we are cutting into their area quiet easily.. only a matter of time for one of those chances to go in.

Normally speaking I'd say that was madness but after watching that first half I reckon that is good shout. Yaya offering absolutelty nothing. He looks lost, completely outpaced and seems to be content with just jogging around and observing play.
