The normal way a ref should do it. So i'm not surprised that there was confusion. Perhaps even the cameras missed it, although i find that hard to believe. If it was on film , the BBC would have picked it up to prove how great united are. I really hope we don't get this tosser for a long long time.[/quote]
as ther ref for the derby been announced???

I was listening to the radio and someone who spoke to Clattenburg after the game said that Claattenburg stated that he went over to the the lino to find out why he put his flag up and when he told him that it was due to the previous hand-ball by Nani, he decided that the goal should stand. When the bloke said he'd made an awful mistake, Clattenburg just shrugged it off and said 'it happens', or words to that effect. Astonishing!

You would think that he would have learnt...he is either stupid or arrogant....Possibly both

Similar to the nani incident, auxerre player thought he was fouled, deliberately pulled the ball back with his hand, got up and immediately slotted it through to a team mate who then scored. Clattenburg just smiled

He is the ref in tonight's game in EL between Steaua and Twente and he was with the other refs, drinking a cup of tea with the others in the old center, here in town. I approached him, just to wish him luck and i asked him about Silva''s pen at Chelsea. He smiled and said he made a mistake. I think he got a little scared when he saw my co-worker who was with me (he is 6.4) otherwise i don't know why he answerd so quick.
Irl he doesn't look like such a big cunt.
