There's no point in sacking him, we've invested too much into him. We're just going to have to put up with it until he stops fucking about & actually decides on a plan. If that means he fucks up yet another cup competition then unfortunately, we have to live with it.

Doesn't mean it's not utter shite though, because it is, he's performing very very badly at the moment.

I can understand removing Milner, We will expect him to be charging around againsr West Brom so his coming off was quite reasonable.
Without either Tvez or Silva we look as though we will never score. which is somethong that also needs addressing.
The Boyata thing with the 2nd goal was just unfortunate. Dedryck will live and learn.
Swp seems to be continuing his slide backwards.

If we know this, then so do Mancini and marwood. I think some of this stuff will be addressed in January.

John, do you really believe in what you are saying? I thought the lads actually played well tonight and were only beaten by the changes. You seem to infer that the change for Milner was OK, as was keeping Paddy on.

Do you think that Paddy should've been off instead of Milner?

It's alright pal, it's a 5 year plan. I'm just wondering what I could do with that team in 5 years, 3 years, or even a year; shirley I wouldn't get them into the Top 4?

So on an optimistic note, you reckon he could be in line for "Most Improved Manager award" at the end of the season.

I recon he's nearing his 'Ferguson/Kendall moment' where he hits complete incompetence, gets bailed out by a lucky/brilliant goal & we suddenly start playing great football & winning everything. Hopefully that will come very soon as I don't fancy being hammered by WBA & rags.

Good question, but I reckon he can beat Brom and the Scum so he'll be my new hero. It's all good.

Those of you complaining about team selection would be the same ones complaining if he played the full strentgh team and we picked up some injuries to key players, bearing in mind we have the scum next week.

Beefers,
Under normal circunstances, I would have gone onto the pitch and dragged Vieira off. I thought he was failing us. he created no threat, lacked energy, gave the ball away too often and on occasions when he should have been pivotal in turnuing defence into attack, his ineptitude caused us to put onto the back foot.

However...It is imperative that we beat WBA this weekend, especially as we have the derby coming up so soon. Playing Milner in all those games is a step too far for him and he is needed for those battles.

I would rather have us take risks tonight in a comp that is secondary to the Prem and one that at that point we were top of the group and were level in the game.

I can see where Mancini came from on this one Mate....Hindsight is 20/20 vision though.

Mate - I think everyone is justified in complaining about tonights DISPLAY as it was shocking..to say the least.
3 losses on the bounce - 2 losses to shit teams.

Tbh, thinking about it, if we did lose to those two, could you see us beating Brum? That may well be his last game if we lose the two previous ones as the place will go into full 'Swales mode'. Really need to turn this round on Sunday.

Poznan have already showed they are no mugs before tonight. An they play in front of a very partisan crowd. This made Mancini's team selection tonight so arrogant it almost bordered on pig-headed, stubborn stupidity. Get the fucking game won then play the bastard youth team against Salzburg ffs !

Well we are due a lucky bloody goal so fingers crossed you're right.

In fact a lucky break of any description would be great or at the very least when we have glorious chances to score we actually bloody do so

I think you're right. Hopefully it'll all come good and in a couple of years we'll look back at this period and congratulate ourselves on holding our nerve. Hmm?!

I was just trying to recollect. Did I start believing that City would win things about the same time I stopped believing in Father Christmas?

Although I rate your opinion highly, I cannot agree on this. Whether the Brom game needs another slow but enegetic midfielder is a different issue, but if we'd have beaten or drawn with Poznan tonight we'd have been literally through (1 point from Salzburg would've done at the max).

What next (and this is the extreme), we write off the Europa like we did the Carling Cup?

I would always put my strongest team out in every game. I'm a traditionalist I have the belief that footballers should be able to run 8km whilst kicking a ball around 3 times a week.

Its all well and good saying that we need to keep players fit for the prem but if the loosing goes on it spreads through the club. We need to get a winning mentality and the only way is by winning, once we have a few good games under the belt with the right result then and only then can we start to think about rotating the players. Instead we now have three on the bounce and 2 tricky games coming up, if three turns into five then we could be fucked. The owners will surely be looking to change managers again if this happens and no good can come from that either so we really are between a rock and a hard place at the moment.
