Couldn't blame him really as this game was clearly not his type at the moment. It was quite obvious after about 20 mins that he wasn't getting the room he needed to play and that he is well off the pace. It's got to be remembered that he's come from a league which is much slower than ours where he can hold the ball and pick out a pass, whereas the likes of a United team who were up for a Derby will be in his face from the 1st minute.

It also doesn't help that he hasn't got the players that he's used to who have the legs to get around into positions and make the space for him to play, basically forcing the opposition backwards whereas United held a very high line because we allowed them to.

No complaints about him though, he lasted the 90 and we walked away with a point that we didn't get last season. My only wonder was why he wasn't taken off as he didn't bring anything to the table apart from a couple of strong runs because there was very little to aim for.

What do you expect from him ?

You want him to chase round all day chasing shadows as he was getting fuck all help from anyone else?

Or you expect him to break up play and run 70 yards and score a hat trick?

Milner was the worse player on the park followed by barry then boateng, silva was shite too then id put yaya in the list. Everytime yaya was in a good position nobody passed it too him because he is shite going forward, why your having a go at him and not mancini for playing him as a center forward i will never know...

All we wanted to do is sit in our own half and not concede a goal we didnt have any intentions of really pushing for a goal, this is not the teams fault it is mancini's fault for the lineup of the team.

He was, but at least you didnt make a thread to attack him

Silva didnt have a good game either....Shall we make a another thread calling him wank as well?

Apart from Barry and Kolo..IMO no one else played much better than Yaya tonight...Mancini set the stall out not to lose this game.

You buy a player who, a few months later, states he will return to the club he came from at some point. You pay him £200,000 a week (TWOHUNDREDTHOUSANDPOUNDSAWEEK!) to play for a club he clearly has no interest in.

Then people are surprised he doesn't put a shift in. Why the fuck should he bother? The guy's got it made.

watch the game again and see how many times he doesnt even bother closing down a ball thats 3yards away from him, watch how many times hes spotted strolling back from an attack that has broke down,by the time we have won it back and we go on the attack, the ball has bypassed him and hes out of the game again.
credit to him for making his pointless runs that we all knew he was goin to take to much out of and lose.
how many times did he sit on the ground with his hands in the air looking for a free while the game was still on?

i saw what you said in the 2nd half when he was busy chasing round the ball truing to get it off the rags defence and then trying to come back and help the midfield as well i was tired watching him.

You watch the game again and watch how much running he did not as fast as tevez but once again i REPEAT he is NOT i repeat NOT a center forward he is a defensive midfielder who likes to set up attacks but MANCINI didnt play any players that are born to attack apart from tevez and even him is not a direct player.

So the only way he could set up attacks was lung bursting 40/50 yeard runs!

Nobody had a great game and Silva and Tevez were starved of service by the midfield. Milner was annoying due to his lack of positivity, but at least he was trying defensively. Yaya did nothing. He spent much of the time out of position, slowly wandering back, so slowly he was the furthest man forwards. Completely unacceptable from any player, but especially one as experienced as him.

Admittedly mate I might be going a bit OTT, but I honestly think my main point remains.

These players have nothing to prove, most of them appear to have this attitude.

Spot On Gaudy..sometimes I wonder what game some of these fuckers are watching

I never slag off any of our players unless you happen to be called Micah Richards but tonight YaYa was streets ahead the worst 'don't give a fuck' player in a blue shirt I've seen for time

And what's with the weight gain? He looked really out of shape..something not right there

He did at Barca, but I'm sure his purchase was defended as not being a defensive midfielder, if you looked at his time pre-Barca (monaco?) where he was more attacking.

At times, he can clearly pick a pass, but he's just too slow

Ye m8..Was fuckin dire.I expected more from the blues tonight.I think there was too much pressure on Mancini and Baconface if they wud of lost, hence the stale, chess style game...Apart from the Tevez free kick i didnt see a good save from any keeper.
Expected us to kick there asses on our patch though.

you must be watching a completely different game to me then.
he offered nothing, nothing in attack, nothing in defence.
doesnt look interested and this is supposed to be from one of our "main" players, our engine in midfield!
this is not just tonight, not 1 game, this has been since he came.

For Yaya to be effective you need movement and attacking players, also you need him to be playing in midfield moving sideways across the pitch covering the attackers. We have milner on the right wing and silva on the left wing they both have no pace and silva likes to come inside. milner is about as a attacking as a teddybear we had no players running in behind so how can he pick a pass. He has no clue how to play center forward thats why it looks like he is running around not giving a fuck, i think you all are looking for some one to blame or just dont want to slag mancini for his negative tactics that hindered all our players from playing football.
