Someone's got to say it eventually

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Someone's got to say it eventually

Postby Kladze » Sat Nov 13, 2010 5:01 pm

So it may as well be me.

MANCINI OUT if you please.

This is the most dreadful, boring football I've seen since Pearce.
In fact, given the money spent on what we all believe to be class players, it's worse.

Who's with me?

:(

agreed. the football is shocking/ the tactics bewildering . they play 10 behind thew ball and when we attack we still have 6 or 7
behind the ball.

And the alternative is what? A new face behind the managers desk, upheaval, new players in, more instability,

Mancini out?

Not unless there's a better option.

I think they actually said in the commentary I listened to that Bimingham can't catch us on the break cos we always have so many back behind the ball.

Im with you.

Im stunned at how shit it is. We just dont want to go forward. I don't blame Tevez for shooting on sight. Mancini should of gone when he failed at the end of last season.

I am starting to really despair with Mancini's tactics. I can somewhat understand that he wants to play it safe against United but fucking Birmingham?

Bringing on Barry for Tevez? Fucking joke!

We have to stick with Mancini until the end of the season. For better for worse.

A new man will come in with new ideas and new players making the rest of this season a write off.

Personally, I suggest hibernating 'til May and see what happens.

Disappointed twice: as a Citizen and of course as an Italian! Dear Mancio, it's time you leave Eastlands because you'll never understand what is Manchester City! Martin O'Neill, we're waiting for you as soon as possible!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

He won't be sacked when we're fourth in the league, nor should he be.

That said though, I won't be watching the Fulham game. It'll be the first time I'll have elected not to watch one when it's being shown on tv. It's not fairweather, and it's not an over the top reaction; I've just got absolutely no enjoyment out of the last two games and would rather save myself the trouble.

Actually playing football and losing badly would've been more interesting than what we just sat through.

If getting rid of him didn't carry the likelihood of sending us backwards (or at least another season treading water/in transition/gelling) then I would have him chucked out of Eastlands with no hesitation.

Unfortunately sacking him will do far more harm than good (in many ways)

This is total fucking toilet though

I think its a bit unfair to call him a twat for voicing his opinion mate.

This is indeed the worst football I've seen since Pearce was here. I don't want him gone yet, because I'm trying to tell myself that the past year is a road towards more attacking football, but if this shit is served up from now until mid Dec, I want him gone ahead of the January window.

Clubs with cracking squads full of quality don't need major upheavel just because the manager is replaced. The likes of Hiddink would be able to come in in Jan and steer us to Champs leage and maybe more.

It's very very painful and difficult to deal with a result and especially a performance like that BUT we have to take it on the chin, regroup and go out and win the next one to get back on track.

I certainly do not understand what is going on with Mancini and the players but we have to stick with him/them. I just hope i don't hear talk of tiredness or that we played a good game and were unlucky against a team who just sat back to accept a nil nil draw.

I'd fuck him off while we're still in fourth. The way things are going we'll be out of the top six by Christmas and the slide is on.

We can still salvage it now.

We're the richest club in world football. We should be able to get pretty much whoever we want. That said, maybe he'll change his style. I like him as a character but its starting to become detrimental to my entertainment and more importantly to the club.

Actually, I'm going to go a bit further with this. It shouldn't be Mancini out, it should be Mancini ADAPT.

The only thing missing from our play is our forwards being more creative. The players are good enough, they are just waiting for something to happen rather than being a part of the creativity. The running off the ball is either a straight line or non existent.

We are currently playing without a target man and without width. That's fine. However, if you are going to play that way you create chances with short passes, 1-2's, creative runs and basically players moving all over the place leaving big forwards wondering what to do.

The problem with this strategy is that it takes a looong time for the players to get in synch with each other on this. Having said that, there really should be a couple of moves that are already bedded in that the players are trying. I don't see it.

In the meantime, we should be playing with a quicker tempo until the players have that understanding.

Note that I wrote all that without using the word gel. DOH!!

If i were the Sheik i'd be on a plane to Eastlands getting the entire team into one big room, and thrashing out all the problems right now.

Call a vote of confidence, I would actually ask the players for a vote of confidence in Mancini. A very sad state of affairs and player power should not over rule manager power, but right now, really, if you have most of the players not happy, it very rarely changes back in favour of the manager.

In order for it to change around you have to win games, then some players change and get behind the manager again. The only thing is with that bunch of unmotivated players, there is no way there going to be arsed giving it 100% for some negative clueless cunt to fuck up what should have been 2 fantastic home wins. Not winning breeds not winning.

I cant watch another 7 months of this wank

Well we're in the happy position where compensation wouldn't be an issue so wave a few quid under the nose of a few big names.

What about Hiddink edge?

Maybe even O'Neill in a caretaker type role.

This has to end now. We are not getting better. We are treading water and he has taken the squad backwards and team spirit and passion is on it's arse.
