Someone's got to say it eventually

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I must admit to being totally dumbfounded by his decision to bring on RSC but take off Milner who he has playing left wing. Now we all know Rocque's stock in trade is service from wide players so he can try and get on the end of crosses so in reality he nullified his own chances of success with Rocque by taking Milner off.If that's not negative then what is.

This thread is a joke. Sacking Mancini wouldn't help.

I dont want him sacked i just want him to play more entertaining football.I have been a blue for over 35 years and without doubt considering the money spent on the players brought in this is the most negative i have ever seen us play.

Oh my. It's ok to want Mancini out because he doesn't play with four strikers every game, after all, we are only 6 points off the table leaders with one third of the season gone, but let's not consider that, eh? But to want him replaced with O'Neill...now that really makes me shudder.

MANCINI OUT if you please.

This is the most dreadful, boring football I've seen since Pearce.
In fact, given the money spent on what we all believe to be class players, it's worse.

Who's with me?

:(

I love the fact that you have balls to say it out loud. As long as we are in top four I think it's madness but I love honesty.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Shit, even the Italians are falling out......

If Mancini doesn't get til the end of the season to sort it out, the club will be a laughing stock and the press will laughing their arses off. Bringing in O'Neil would only put us back to where we were last December. This is like Groundhog Day. Stick with the man, if he fails to deliver then sack him. If he delivers but his style of football is crap, have some words.

Correct me if I'm wrong my Italian friends, but didn't the Inter fans love Mancini. And didn't The Special One recieve a frosty reception because of the style of football he brought to them? .......before delivering the Chumps League.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

Like everyone else I am staggered by the boring level of football - this time last year I was staggered by the fallibility in defence.

This time last year I was saying -ffs give the manager some time we are the masters of knee-jerk sackings then starting all over again - going backwards in the end

So this year I will say the same - but actually with more strength. The only reason I would consider replacing Mancini is if he has lost the dressing room - and I mean in general and not just one or two players with an axe to grind - so long as they will play for him he should stay - because I think it will work out.

Recent results for others, e.g. Chelsea yesterday, the scum several times etc show how competitive this league is - it is not just a media statement it is a fact - therefore we need to go out against all teams with due respect - there are no teams out there that we should have an expectation to simply blow away - same for Chelsea and other top teams.

History shows that you need a defensive unit that is rock solid - I think that we are close to that - although I recognise that both FBs need to bed in - NDJ is an absolute rock in MF and Tevez the same up front - so we just need to get Ballotelli to gel with Tevez, Silva (or Milner) to gel with NDJ alongside Ya Ya and Barry or one of either Ya Ya or Barry if you are introducing Johnson (or Milner)

Such a set up should offer the security of not leaking goals whilst able to then quickly transition into attack as a cohesive unit.

I cannot help but think that this will come in the near future - unless Mancini has lost most of those 11 players - and I do not think that he has

Another reason - and actually a good one - for no change is it will be just rewarding the media vultures - playing straight into thir rag biased hands!!

Good post mate and I believe that the majority aren't looking for Mancio's head but are worried about our current predicament. Also, I'd suggest we wouldn't be at this point if Mancio hadn't taken Carlos off on Saturday as in many people's eyes, without him we are fooked.

Why haven't we had a Poll, we've had a few in the past when Hughes was here and when Mancio came in? Might be a better way to judge opinion rather than an influx of posts from each camp that can't really be defined.

Mods?

Stop rolling the fact that we are 4th out. With recent results around us, if we had won a couple of games we would be aiming for the top. 4th may have been a target last year, but not this; surely?

Worried that every time I watch City I'm likely to be bored to tears and squirming with embarrassment.

I remember a while back that you and I agreed that Mourinho wasn't the man for the City job because we should be capable of producing a team to play 'champagne football'. Presumably, you still think Mancini is the man to provide us with that - or is it that you just can't face the prospect of admitting you were wrong ?

Everyones had shite form though Beef...otherwise we would be way off the pace wouldn't we...so surely if we recover some form we will still be up there?

I'd say it's the next 4 games where we need to be hitting it. We've got Fulham, Stoke, Bolton and West Ham, some nice games to improve our standing and try to push on.

As for the other teams being out of form, Arsenal (15), United (12) and Chelsea (10) are above us and so are the likes of Bolton (11), Newcastle (11) and Sunderland (11) who are just below us. Spurs are level with us on form with 2 difficult fixtures coming up in Arsenal and the Dippers. One slip up though and we move down out of the CL places.

There's the rub. If it's a blip then no problem but before the WBA game we were on the crest of a slump. The next few games are really crucial as otherwise the run will be worse than the one which got Hughes the sack & we'll lose 4th place. For some reason, if we're not actually in 4th place halfway through the season, it matters to quite a lot of people, especially those who keep bringing it up as if it makes a difference at this stage. Two more draws &, ridiculously, the shit will hit the fan like it did with Hughes.

I think the next few away games will actually suit us and i wouldn't be surprised if we carry off the points.. even against Stoke.

Looking back at our form and the way games panned out it is at home breaking down teams that we are struggling with, away games and their more open nature suit us more at the moment.
