Andy Carroll???

Would you sign him??? I wouldn't mind him up top with tevez, certainly give us that presence were crying out for. Also might help to change our dire record at scoring from free kicks/corners.

Not yet sure whether he's got the class to do it week in week out or whether he's just on a hot run of form. If he can play like he has done for the past 3 months for the next 2 years then I'd be interested in signing him.

Could he be any worse than roque or jo??? Also don't forget the home grown rule could be significant in future signings

I wouldn't have thought so. As for the home grown, haven't we got enough?

Carroll's had no impact whatsoever but I put that down to the tactics. Now it's left peg on right, right on left, where's the service and follow up?

I'd have said no chance in june but in november with half the squad being axed in january allegedly and us playing one up front, he's good enough in the air to play on his own

I have really liked what I have seen of him so far apart from the shit hair and beating women, but apart from that he has potential.

Excellent in the air, good on the deck and strong as an ox. I would hold off a season though and see how he gets on second time around. Teams tend to get wise to players after a season and I would like to see how he adapts his game and if he is capable of doing that. Defo one to keep an eye on.

I'd take Crouch though to be the big man up front.

Fucl me. Why don't we just go out and buy the rest of the England team and get played off the park like they did tonight.

We've got all this dough and can look at players like Messi and Fabregas etc can't we?

Agreed, always a threat for them when he is on and strong enough to make a long ball into a decent chance.

Doesn't hurt he is taller than 5'6" as well unlike the rest of our frontline, those that aren't suspended for throwing toys out of the pram or seem to be so out of favour with the boss they must have had a 3-way with his wife and daughter, then stole his car for the trip home.

Flash in the pan. Premier defenders will figure out how to stop him. Remember how we bought Benjani on the basis of a hot streak.

Cant believe we're having this conversation. Desperation or what?

Rather have Dzeko or Torres myself. Over history, Carroll willl be seen as an old-fashioned, English-type journeyman (this continuing violence should send him on his journey). Certainly no better than Adebayor.

the fact he wouldn't be worse than roque or Jo is hardly a decent reason to sign him !
