Sure s mate, especially when you consider they were in the bottom 3 only last month. I suppose that's the big difference with winning and drawing games.

West Ham are runaway leaders in making other teams look good.

You just fucking know they'll get their revival kicked off against us.

I'm totally unimpressed that we've just been pushed out of a CL spot on GD by the mighty notlob.

Absolutely. We never seem to get such insipid displays against us as W Ham did at Anfield.

The mighty notlob are 6 points off the top after 14 games so not much point looking at it like that.

Ireland starts today for Villa. Gonna have an eye on his performance today.
You know we could do with an attacking midfielder. ;)

Villa v Blackburn is entertaining so far. End to end and plenty of chances.

Dunne looking good today, Ireland looking lost as the support striker.

2-0 now. Agree, entertaining match this one.
We will see more goals as well. I think Villa will get the next one!

Ireland taken off for 37 year old Pires.

Villa look a bit clueless going forward.

Ireland was well below par today and responsible for Blackburn's second (all though he could have gotten a free kick).
What bugs me most is that he's not showing that spark and that grit he was a couple of seasons back. He doesn't go 100% into situations, he doesn't even attempt to win headers, and his movement off the ball is poor. What happened?

He was awful today, a complete passenger like he's been everytime I've seen him this season. I don't think his head or heart is in it anymore.

I can see him retiring in a few years time

This was the worst bit for me, he constantly played a ball and then either A) stopped moving to see where it had gone or B) instantly hid behind a Blackburn player.

Edit : just had a look on a villa forum, they really aren't happy with him, some are suggesting he should be sold in january!

Worst display in a Villa shirt i've seen for years.

Zero effort.

I see a woeful performance, way below any other Villa player, and I call it such. How does that make him a scapegoat? Are we now not permitted to criticise a woeful performance without it being seen as scapegoating?

That was, quite simply, a disgraceful display from Ireland IMO.

Do you also include out manager in your "scapegoating" group. He has, after all, come out and criticised Ireland's effort as not acceptable.

Dunney was apparently laughing at FT as well, went down really well on there.

Not trying to take anything away from Bolton, more like we should not be in that position. We dropped the points to allow it, and I believe we dropped a few due to tactics.
