Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Mad Pablo

Postby xavi6 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:10 pm

Forget Micah and Boateng, this guy has done more to deserve the right back spot than anyone else. Immense today and has been every time he's played this season, including when deployed as a left back, most notably against Chelsea.

A great professional who never gives less than 100%. Tough as fuck as well.

All hale Mad Frank Zabba!

Can't understand why he doesn't get a regular spot. One of my favourite players since he's been at the club.

Might give a free-kick away every now and then but at least he does something to prevent the wingers from going past him or putting in crosses!
I fucking hate it when fullbacks don't get stuck in.

Pablo, perhaps MOM today. Great professional.

he's a bit clow, but a good footballer and a good footballing brain. then he undoes it with daftness, silly challenges that need not be made; that one on the dge of the box when we were attacking, totally pointless.

but he really puts in a shift and we all love that.

i have slated boateng and stand by it. ned, micah, zab are all way better than boateng, way better. as is boyata, eg the show he put on at home v chelsea.

Absolutely love him. Never gives less than 100%.

Just wait for the liability comments to role out.

They're not without merit though, some times he does make you pull your hair out, but when he plays like he did today you can't help but love the guy.

That's an extra asset he's got, and I'd argue he's shown more in this one appearance than Micah and Jerome put together.

I think he has improved a 100% this season with his rashness and today's booking was harsh, he clearly won the ball. We looked far more solid on that side today and he was also willing to push on and support. Sadly out for the Stoke game!

he is absolute quality, the kind of player you love to have on your side. defensively he's solid the issue with him has always been going forward, doesn't really have the pace nor the skill you'd like from a full back to get forward, but today must have been his best all round performance in a city shirt. and what a hit for that goal. i love pabs you can always tell he just loves playing out there giving his all. definitely derserves the right back spot for the time being. well done pablo!

Zabba MOTM for me and just saw an interview with him and Barry and was really impressed with his English. Well done Zabba. Shame he will miss the Stoke match.

yes.
top game today without a doubt.
but how many times has he put us under pressure with stupid over the top tackles and then getting booked.
if he cut the silly mistakes out i reckon he would be 1st choice not for city but argentina aswell.

Fucking love him. Him, Vince and De jong were amazing hughes signings. I wondered what would have happened if Corluka was here. Very much in the same bracket of consistent performers IMO.

Little legend and one thing that gets overlooked is how much Tevez enjoys playing with him.

If theres a borderline call to be made at rb please go with the one that pleases our world class 30 goal a season striker.
Tracking back is overrated.
