When you own a Ferrari .......

.......eventually you have to take it out of first gear and see what it can do!

Well Mancio, now you have noticed how fast, slick and pleasing on the eye can be ...... please continue driving it that way!

I just hope when Balotelli returns next week ...... he doesn't take the wheels off or smash it up for you.

Very nice analogy LB. Maybe Mancini is thinking of us as more of a fine wine. A nice expensive bottle only to be tasted every couple of months!!

No, its built now. We all know it is and it has been for some time. We will sometimes play badly and we will sometimes lose when we deserved to win.

But we should ALWAYS try to WIN. We should ALWAYS put the foot down.

Absolutely fucking ALWAYS.

Analogy of the season!!!! ;o)

Honestly mate, very well said. I'm as happy as a pig in shit. I was so worried that the press would be murduring us in the morning. They'll have to tear up all that bitterness they'd probably already written and are fucked off with us right now keeping them up all night re-writing the script.

The first half was the best I've seen for a very, very long time. We looked every bit a top side.

Mancini-------wooohhhhaaaaahhhhoooooooo!

a mate of mine had a ferrari.. and got it stuck on a speed bump. had to get all the passers-by to help lift/push it off.

they gave him a good cheer when he finally got going but.. y'know wasn't the kind of cheer he really wanted.

Please ok Mr. Mechanic lets see you race your Ferrari up and down when you were lacking a piston or spark plug. Or better yet lets see you have that ferrari Tuned in the next 48 hours ready to go race against the Formula one last place finisher. Laughing out LOUD. When will people realize nothing BIG is ever built in a hurry.

The system today is the one that works for us and the one that Mancini has been buying and building for since the summer. We saw it against West Brom and we saw it today. We haven't had much chance to see it this season with Balotelli being injured and being suspended and his back up (Jo) not being up to standard to play every game.

I've seen Mancini this season build a solid team who's empthasis has been on not conceding. It's better to do that for 3 months and come into christmas right in the title race and then kick on than to do it from the start and be some way off coming into christmas.

The mistake Mancini made against Birmingham was he didn't trust Jo to play in that important Balotelli role and our football suffered.

Hopefully now we will see the real Mancini, the one that impressed me at Inter Milan and the one that made me not panic and go OTT. We will be smiling soon dubster, we will.

Nice sentiment Dub, but in reality we suit being away from home right now and there is a difference. Your wishing for the foot down before we are ready to do so, will end up us being a spurs.
Fortunaltely you are not in charge and we will continue to build a way of not losing and getting a sense of the possibilities.

I hate to reference them but one of the reasons the fuclin rags are still around with a shit team is that they know how to play the rhythm of a game... years of busted flushes in europe and learning a euro style of when to turn it on and when to contain.

sounds simple, but isnt.

I also think our players like to get it on the track and have some fun with it too!

Their body language today as opposed to other games, would suggest to me that they were also getting sick and tired of being told to drive it well with in the speed limits. They have probably been gagging to be allowed to open it up a bit.

After all, the way they probably drive their own cars here in the UK, they will have now realised that if you drive fast ..... you will ultimately pick up more points!!!

You just have to realise that your motor is far superior to the others you are competing against and that will only come out when you drive it to the limits ...... otherwise you are just bringing yourself down to their level.

Absofuckingloutely!! Imagine all these players like Tevez, Silva, Yaya Toure, World Cup & title winners, being sold the 'project' at City, then they envisage playing great football & winning trophies but when they get here we spend all our time defending & aim for 4th!!??

Now they have something to believe in, as do we.

Its not a sentiment, its a fact. This team is capable of overturning any team put in front of it. No doubt about it.

While we're on our managerial wish list, I think its fortunate you're not in charge, because you ridicule spurs who have just came back and beaten their fiercest rivals on their own turf, only weeks after beating the fucking european champions... all whilst mantaining a title/4th place push - all with attacking football??!

I've said it before and I'll say again - I do not buy into this shit that you HAVE to be a team of 11 defenders before you start to attack. Its horseshit. The great teams of the last ten years did not all start as fiercely defensive and negative teams before they began to attack.

If you can attack, then fucking attack. Don't say "we're not ready yet" boo hoo bollox.

We own a ferrari. Don't drive it like Miss fucking Daisy is sitting in the back of it.

If we try to play like that at home & it doesn't work, at least we will have attacked with a purpose rather than putting balls up to Tevez for him to wriggle around in circles until the rest arrive in dribs & drabs 5 mins later. Today we had attacking purpose & players had people to pass to & we had PEOPLE MAKING FORWARD RUNS!!!! I can barely contain myself!

Obviously.. go watch the Brum game again and note the differences.

As you say on tother thread, the set up is pretty much the same.. it is mostly about the player mentality and connections together during the games. Im not getting at you but im surprised that the lack of performances blinded you to this. Your analysis is usually spot on but you have really lost the plot recently, out of frustration i guess.

There is still a long way to go adn when teams come and sit at Coms it is a different story to today and we will need something a bit special to make a difference.
