I'm tired of Tevez being 'Tired'

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I'm tired of Tevez being 'Tired'

Postby Michael Brookes » Sat Nov 27, 2010 5:09 pm

He's a potential legend and our club captain but the only things coming out of his mouth (at least in the press) is a constant stream of i'm not happy/want to quit/ etc blah blah.

Surely our club talisman should not be so overt in his desire to return to argentina?

The majority of it is most likely bullshit or some passing comment spun out of control. I notice today in the middle of the Sun, Tevez gets a one inch apology for the massive back page scoop they ran on him seeing a phsycologist.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

It's retirement in 4 years stories actually. Or does everyone prefer to pretend he's not said that & just read the bits next to it?

Definitely makes me sick but only for the fact that people keep going on about it just to purposely have a fucking whinge. He doesn't say he's retiring, he says in the future. He'll be over 30 when that comes along. Will he still be able to run? Will we offer him another deal? Will he change his mind & sign it? Is there ANY fucking point in this shit?

Our captains CONTINUAL comments about retirement. Ho many other clubs' leaders do you see publicly declare their dismay and re-iterate desire to quit the game. The timespan isnt the issue here.

Bit pointless going on about it really then, if we don't even know if or when he said it. Presumably an Argentinian TV crew flew all the way to Manchester just to ask him those questions? Or perhaps not.

Its fucking tiring playing up front on your own and having to drop deep in EVERY FUCKING GAME.

Tell me all the other strikers who do it week in week out??

Tell me another team who are FUCKED without their lone front man?

And before you say it, Balo played support until we switched to a 4-4-2 and all the other games, it was lonely Carlos. A legend already and the press can keep bringing up old shit as long as he continues to have one of the best goals to game ratios in world football for a single club.

slan.

If you had put that as the thread title I could have just saved myself 5 fucking minutes of my very important fucking well life. Apologies for the mini rant, as you were.

Well as Tevez is quite possibly the hardest working, not to mention one of the best, players in the world, he can say whatever the fuck he likes.

Maybe other players should give interviews like this, maybe it's these interviews that makes a player perform at 110% each game.

Can some people not understand that the media hype every story they get their hands on? The interview probably went something like this:

Interviewer: Do you see yourself playing football until to your late 30s?
Tevez: No, I'd like to be finished by the time I'm 30 as my children and their mother are back in Argentina and I miss them.

If something like that happened, then there isn't any problem. Yet tabloids and other shitty media formats can turn that into any story they like. Considering the tripe that is written about City these days, it is embarrassing that so many fans believe everything written in the press about us.

He has never once stated that he's unhappy at city.

It's more a desire to return home to life in Argentina.I don't feel this is something we can hold against him he's just being honest.

Anyway i do not recall a proper interview that has given any conclusisve proof that these stories are anything but that stories.

Regardless of this aiming to return home in 4 years time is not exactly a shock, he would not be the first nor the last player with a desire to give a few years on home soil before he retires.

I also think the claim that he is not impressed with the people involved in football is refreshing to here, the game is just a money spinner for so many involved and is riddled with corruption these days. Most fans would agree with these views.

His attitude on the pitch is nothing short of amazing so i don't think anyone can have any complaints.
