If we bought him it would be for an inflated price anyway so i'd rather see what Tevez and Ballotelli can do, if we need to replace Adebayor then we should replace him with a proven player as Ballotelli is still a big gamble.

Carroll has been recognised and scored 1 in 2 for England since under 19 level stead scored 1 goal at under 21 level and hardly set the prem alight and Marcus Stewart didn't even have an international career! Like I said stupid comparison

And I'll go back to my original point. Marus Stewart scored 19 goals in the Premiership in his first season. So I don't think half a season in the Premiership is good enough for the stupid amount of money he will cost us.

standard as in 10 goals this season? or standard as in "big name" players?

I'd have him because I think he'd score more than Jo, hold it up better than Ade, play more than santa Cruz and be suspended far less than Balotelli. With regards to standard I meant would he be overlooked by Bobby Manc in favour of other targets that may be considered world class such as Torres for example.
