Yep, but it beats watching some back to the wall shit that we're used to from the CL.

Think I'll pass on the love in.

Wow.
I think the mention was for the Champions League, where they have just beaten the holders to top spot playing exciting football.
Credit where credit is due I reckon. Also, its not as if we can laugh at how they're doing in the premier league.

Currently every man and his dog is beating Inter Milan and Spurs beat them once. They did actually lose the away match.
Arsenal et al qualify for the last 16 on a regular basis so personally I don't see the need to start threads or buy the commemorative DVD of this 'glorious achievement' even if we feel obliged to do so because its the first time in living memory that an English manager has done this.
Spurs like most teams play some good football and some wretched football. They do not, as someone posted, "play as a unit" all the time or even some of the time. If they did they wouldn't concede so many fucking goals. In 8 CL matches including the qualifier they have conceded what 14 goals? Maybe more I lost count but seriously almost 2 a game and they play as a unit?
Spurs are a good side and I have a soft spot for 'arry but endless dick sucking about 'how wonderful they are' is starting to grate especially when it is rooted more in fiction than hard fact.

You sound jealous mate. I don't think anyone is saying 'How wonderful' they all are but merely mentioning that they have done well in the CL.

Personally i think spurs are setting themselves up for a fall. They should be concentrating on the prem otherwise they could end up as a one season wonder a la Everton. But they have been sucked in and are now starting to believe their own hype, the more they do that the harder the fall.. Now officially 'going for it', they will hit a brick wall soon enough in the knock-out stages and then their dreams will be in tatters and off the pace in the prem. I also believe they have been led into a false sense of security in their group, all and sundry saying it was a really tough group, reality is that Milan are now crap under Rafa and what that says about the rest of the group is fairly easy to suss out.

Well I look forward to the Arsenal thread tomorrow assuming they qualify and no doubt the 'pip, pip hoorah' thread celebrating the rags triumphal procession to the last 16 is done and just waiting for you to hit the 'submit' button. Go for it.

We have a great opportunity to put some distance between us & Spurs over the next month; everyone is fit, the team are starting to gel as an attacking force. All we have to do, is get the results you would expect a side of our standard to get & not fuck up too much. Then all we have to do is match Spurs' results for the rest of the season, with a bigger squad whilst they possibly battle in the Chump's League. If we can open up a decent gap, it gives us the chance to go after rags & Arsenal without having to look behind us too much; ideal situation. Meanwhile, stuff is happening behind the scenes at Chelsea & they could come under pressure from Spurs. Come on City.

Wooooooo, check you out! Now you are sounding like a jealous cry baby. Is that your dummy in the corner?
