It becomes 4-3-3 when we attack or even 4-2-4 but I bet if you look at the lineup when we lose the ball, there'll be one striker (probably Balo) on his own up front with the rest of the team deeper, more like 4-5-1.

I'm happy with Zabba at RB and Boateng at LB. That's some attacking threat. Deffo go with Boateng over Lescott against easier teams.

Very happy with the team selection. I'm sensing something special today. (but still shitting a little)

Jo will likely play up front and is a straight swap for Tevez.
I think the only way AJ will start is instead of Balo or Silva. Ade injured btw?

From the Beeb:

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• West Ham have a fine home league record against Manchester City, winning 24 of 42 all-time meetings at Upton Park. City have left with all three points on only 10 occasions.

• City's last victory at Upton Park was a 2-0 success on the opening day of the 2007/08 season. One-season wonders Rolando Bianchi and Geovanni supplied the goals that day.

• The Hammers have recorded only win in eight league matches against Manchester City, a 1-0 win at Upton Park in March 2009. Jack Collison scored the only goal of that game.

West Ham

• West Ham have only ever picked up as few as 12 points from their opening 16 Premier League games once before. That was during the 2002/03 season, when they were ultimately relegated.

• The Hammers have secured just six league wins during the calendar year of 2010, and claimed a combined total of just 29 points.

• Robert Green (98) has made more saves than any other keeper in the Premier League this season.

Man City

• Only leaders Arsenal have scored more than City's 13 away goals, and picked up more than City's 14 away points this season.

• Joe Hart has kept eight clean sheets this term, the equal best in the Premier League along with Chelsea's Petr Cech.

• City have ended the last eight rounds of Premier League fixtures in fourth place.

• If selected, Joleon Lescott will be making his 350th career league appearance.

LEADING GOALSCORERS

West Ham

Parker: 6 goals (4 league); Piquionne: 5 goals (4 league)

Man City

Tevez: 10 goals (10 league); Balotelli: 5 goals (2 league)

MATCH OFFICIALS

Referee: Phil Dowd

Assistant referees: Mike Mullarkey & Paul Thompson

Fourth official: Lee Probert

And, we've won both games that Mr Dowd's ref'd this season - let's go for a hat-trick, eh boy's?

'Jo has not scored in any of his last 27 Premier League matches since netting twice for Everton in their 4-0 win against Wigan in April 2009. His only previous Premier League goal for Man City came in September 2008 during their 6-0 win against Portsmouth.'

Time to buck the trend.
