Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Javier Hernandez top Real Madrid January transfer wish-list
Jose Mourinho wants to take Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor or Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid in January.
Mourinho needs a striker because of a back injury which could sideline Gonzalo Higuain for up to two months.
Manchester City misfit Adebayor tops the list Mourinho gave to club president Florentino Perez and general manager Jorge Valdano on Thursday. The manager is confident he can seal a loan deal for the 26-year-old

Boss Roberto Mancini was due to talk to striker Carlos Tevez on Friday about his future following the Argentinian’s rejected transfer request earlier in the week. This meeting could be delayed as City fans wait on good news regarding their talisman and captain.

Shock horror. Hughes in a "don't sack me next" throwdown.

He's been found out, hasn't he? it's not just me, is it?

Wonder if we'll do a swap loan deal for Adebayor & that French weakling at Real? If Benzema comes to us he'll have to show a lot more endevour than he has there or he'll get bood off.

Eden Hazard could turn out to be very very special player at Arsenal if Wenger could develop him. Then move somewhere else to win trophies rather than perform in the current Arsenal fashion; like a preening, posing shandy drinking, cheese eating surrender monkey.

Marwood confident of Tevez stay
Enlarge Brian Marwood is convinced Carlos Tevez will remain at Manchester City, despite the striker handing in a transfer request last week.
Tevez has cited a breakdown in relationship with senior officials at Eastlands and is set to hold showdown talks with manager Roberto Mancini on Friday.
The club rejected Tevez's transfer request and are determined to retain the services of the Argentina international.
"The statement has been put out and we have not wavered from that," City's football operations officer Marwood told Sky Sports News. "Carlos has three-and-a-half years to go on his contract and we have rejected the transfer request. He has come into training and been extremely professional and conducted himself very, very well. We are pleased in terms of his attitude and application and I do not see that changing.
"We rejected the transfer request because we feel he has a huge role to play at the club. That did not change before he made his transfer request and has not changed after he made the transfer request."
Marwood is convinced Tevez's decision to hand in a transfer request will not have any impact on his relationship with the rest of the City squad.
He said: "We have a very professional group and that group will stick together. I have no problems in terms of how they will react and they will be extremely professional. It is about keeping the group together, focused, and challenging for honours that we hope will come our way."
City will be monitored closely in the transfer market but Marwood claims they will not be throwing money around unless a decent opportunity presents itself.
"We feel comfortable with the group we have," Marwood said. "We believe there don't need to be too many changes, but you never know what might present itself. We are not going to exactly tell the world which players we may or may not be interested in."

Sport.co.uk can confirm that Marek Hamsik will stay at Napoli, despite intense speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.
The Slovak forward’s agent Juraj Venglos told Sport.co.uk today that his player will remain at the Italian club for the remainder of the campaign.
Asked whether there was a chance Hamsik could move to Manchester City, or any other club in January, he replied:
“No. No chance.”
The agent also said he is unaware of any move to Manchester City.
He said: “I really have no idea that he is leaving Napoli.”
The striker has notched up an impressive record since joining Napoli from Brescia in 2007, netting 37 times in 122 games, helping them to an impressive 6th place finish last term.
His impressive goal scoring form this season has revitalised the rumour mill, with positive noises previously coming from the Hamsik camp regarding the move.
His performances over the last few years, both for the Partenopei, and the Slovak national side, have lead to fervent gossip over a move to Manchester or London in January.
The 23-year-old captained Slovakia for the first time in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, in a game they lost to eventual runners-up Holland. He has eight goals in 42 games for his country.
Throughout his career, he averages over a goal every 4 games, and it is his continued development at Napoli, currently 3rd in Serie A, that has sparked the interest of Europe’s elite.
However, it appears that the skilful poacher will remain in Naples, at least for the time being.

Man City eye £10million River Plate striker as Tevez replacement
Manchester City are set to firm up their interest in Rogelio Funes Mori with a £10million January offer, according to reports in his native Argentina.
The River Plate starlet, who is also on the radar of AC Milan, has been mooted as a possible replacement for want-away City striker Carlos Tevez who handed in a transfer request last week.
The 19-year-old has scored only four goals in 18 league appearances so far this season, but City hope his tireless, all-action style will enable him to fill the void left by Tevez should he leave Eastlands.
Radio stations in Argentina reported that Benfica, Lisbon and Milan are all considering bids of around £7m for Mori but City are preparing to trump them by around £3m in January.

how could he get a work permit? surely he isn't in the Argies squad enough, if at all, to have the caps he'd need.

one for the future if true and not someone to swap out Tevez for this season or next if true...unless the kid has some Spanish mother/EU passport shit, etc. I'm still really unclear on how it works, other than if yr City, yr fucked so get in line with the tourists and we'll process your stuff in a timely fashion. Cheers. If yr the Filth then "hey ho...it's been approved by the Home Office and yr on yr way."
