What is the difference of finishing first over second as far as knockout draw is concerned? Cheers.

Didn't see anyone reply to yr question Florida, so in case you're still wondering, finishing first means we avoid playing the other teams who topped their groups plus some teams who finished 3rd in their Champions League group who now drop into Europa League and will be seeded as group winners. Basically we avoid the strong teams in the next round.

You didn't look too bloody hard, 2 out of the following 3 posts were replies !!

Apologize as an Italian to all City fans and our squad for the behavior of the uncivilized Juve supporters of yesterday evening! That City City Vaffanculo choir and the other unrepeatable insults to Mancini, Vieira and SuperMario ... how could Juventus tell to the world they are a great club again if people going to their ground looks like cavemen or monkeys?
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Have their fans ever been different from that, though? They always greet someone linked with Roma, Inter, even Milan with vaffanculo choirs and insults. Always have, always will; I'm not surprised there.

We're both Italians, mate, but we both have a true passion for English football. I was at the game yesterday and don't matter how or why Juve fans were so stupid. The problem is: will our authorities or our clubs punish these monkeys one of these days? No! Is this one a correct way to support their own squads? No! So this is the reason I shall watch only my beloved City even if I'm Italian and an AC Milan fan too!

I'm not saying that was right, ot by any means. It's just that as you said, nobody in Italian football will do anything to stop this, so it will just keep happening. Juve is not the only example, all Italian teams have fans who will do this to certain opposition.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but can someone explain what the Juve fans mean when chanting "If we jump Balotelli dies?" I don't understand it. Am I just dense?

They hate Balotelli because he played for Inter and because he was a diver in his first games of Serie A. But Mario learns immediately to avoid these mistakes. That's why Mario can't fail at City in Premier League. He needs to show he's not a bad boy but a professional striker. This is the only revenge against them!

Adding to your response, in Italian that chant rhymes so it "sounds good" to chant, in their opinion.

Just watched some extended highlights of the match. We should have scored 3 easy. Jo was not offside for a chance and how those handballs were missed is an utter joke.

Sweep and AJ looked creative.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

How Jo missed the first one i have no idea and never will, it looked like he actually moved his leg out of the way. It was a shame for the benefit of the match as it would have been possibly quite a good game if Juve had been behind from 3 mins in.
For the first 10 or 15 we cut them to pieces but then took the gas off and let them get organised. I had us down for a 3-1 win and it looked on at the beginning. Jo scored the most difficult chance and should have had 4. The ref was a disgrace of that there was no doubt at all.. unbelievable.
