Good 3 pts. First double of the season.

I'm off to get utterly pissed.

Happy boxing day everyone. Roll on Tuesday.

Well done City. Not at our footballing best but 3 good points. How that wanker of a ref can justify booking Silva, AJ & Balotelli is fucking beyond me. Not fair on Mario at all. Other players did worse & got nothing. Not right.

Andy Carroll is a serious handful & if he was playing to the same level for rags or Chelsea would be close to unstoppable with the service he would get. Not pretty but pretty fucking dangerous. Without him, Newcastle wouldn't have done anything in the game.

What a performance! Very entertaining game, worked very hard and showed a great team spirit, grit and resilience, happy with that!

Don't think anyone in the Media can question Carlos's commitment after that, glad he shown sub ordinance when he come off and shook Mancini's hand. Balotelli's yellow was a complete joke, as were the rest really. It goes to show that referees are pre judging him.

Top performances from Silva, Tevez, Barry, Kompany and Lescott. Onwards and upwards, bring on Villa!

Just heard Guidetti scored a crucial equaliser for Burnley too, so its a pretty good day in all.

He smiled and (sorta) blew a kiss at a Newcastle played who shoved him in the chest. Apparently not rising to the bait was considered provocative behaviour itself, absolutely shocking refereeing.

Dreadful performance, he gave them a freekick that Joey almost scored from, when Lescott was backed into by Ranger. I think the fat Cock-er-nay spent a little of his winnings (from betting on the next Prem manager to be sacked just before handing Hughton his P45) on buying the ref. ALLEGEDLY.

He was spitting the dummy out. Implying that he's a baby.

On a serious note, it was a tribute to his son (as most of his celebrations are).

Would have preferred Jo or Balotelli instead of one of the midfielders

Am i right in seeing this is not on TV anywhere in the States? Ill have to LOLFooty it then i guess.

That team should have plenty to offer for the points. hope Milner is playing a central role. It's a crowded City midfield but im good with that lineup.

Cheers

Better than I could've envisaged. Battled it out and scored some piceless goals.

What position we in ;-)

Im getting worried Balotelli is going to become the laughing stock of the league. He is in the lime light now with his award and high profile start to his career in the EPL.

The press will turn 6 goals in 11 games into not scored for 7 games tomorrow.

he is a cock and a joker on the pitch tho right now. I really hate seeing him in a City shirt as it stands. I'm sick of the fouls and the falling down and the garbage. He needs less talk, and more rock.

cheers

I don't think Balotelli gives a fuck if you or anyone else thinks he is a laughing stock when quite frankly he isn't. He will soon prove all the OTT sensationalist morons wrong.

Thanks.

To give time to other players and to get more milage out of him. We have some very tough fixtures coming up.

I don't get it. He was on a hat trick, and he was only saved running for about 7-8 minutes.

To me, it was just Mancini making his poinyt again, this time Tevez took it well ... it may have even been a PR stunt

I actually completely disagree with that. I don't think Mancini is that petty. We were 3-1 up and the game was wrapped up. Get Tevez off and give Balotelli a run-out. Tevez had a great game and he'd done his job - I'm happy for him to have done his job and get prepared for the game in a couple of days.

We've had a great 3-1 away and will annihilate Villa and Blackpool in the next 2 games. Let's enjoy the fact we'll be top of the league in 2 games time and not over-analyse insigificant incidents ;-)
