Was about to say the same thing, he played his part tonight in making sure we didn't end up losing. He even chipped in with some HEADED clearances too.

PM I know you are as pissed as us all, but slagging the players at this point is, well, pointless. This is what we have. The squad is small.. too small probably, but there is no one coming in, and no one going out. We have a deck of cards that must carry us until summer. We need to deal with it. I hated the decision to bring Kolo on. Not for anything against Kolo, but because it necessitated moving Boateng to fullback, where he is, in my opinion, terrible. Much better to go like for like with Zabba for Richards I think.

Kolarov couldn't stop a cross if his life depended on it, Kompany was allowing the ball to bounce over him, failed clearances and misplaced passes by the bucket load, and Boateng was...well he was slightly better than his usual but still far off the standard we need.
