And our figures were produced last May I believe, so we should be advancing on that now. Plus one billion-pound development around the stadium to come, plus Champions league, plus 85,000 capacity.

Platini wont know what's hit him!

Most other clubs fans just dont understand the growth that is planned, they just see it as 'buying players' like Chelsea did/do.

where do juve get their money from?? pretty sure they average crowds of less than 30k for home matches and i'm guessing those that do go don't pay the £30+ to get in that we do here in england.

have they got a huge tv deal!?

Brown envelope!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

The figures are fantastic. As they're from 2009/2010 they include no money from European competition, nor the sponsorship deals which were signed recently with Heineken, Jaguar etc.

It goes to show that the owners are building the club very well. With an ever-increasing global fanbase and regular European football, our revenue stream will increase significantly in the coming years. We'll be able to sign bigger sponsorship deals with companies and our merchandising sales will sore.

Yet another example of how the club is being built the right way and how the media/public have been so, so wrong with their comments about our club.

At first I kind of flubbed this off, but then I thought it is a good indicator of just how far we have come.

Though on the face of it the disaprity of our income versus expenditure may seem tio give us cause for concern, when considered with the situation we are in, they are very good indeed.
The new Fair Play rules are not as stringent as 1st believed. It is important to note that 1)...Disqualification from CL entry is a final penalty, after a number of other actions are considered by UeFA and 2)...It will be sufficient for a club to show that they are moving in the right financial direction.

It is also worth noting that all those clubs above us are operating somewhere near their commercial ceiling. They are already in the CL and most have been for a number of years. The income they recieve will reflect that already. City have that extra income to still add. Being in the CL for a number of years means that for most of those clubs, their global profile and their global merchandising will be pretty near their ceilings too. Again, City's global profile will have a long way to travel and their is plenty of room to move upwards.

There are other factors to consider regarding the next set of figures that are already in place. It is essential that we qualify for the CL this season and important that we have a reasonable run it it if we do. That will be the key to a massive improvement and us smashing our way up into the top group of elite clubs in that list.

Let's be realistic, most of the increase is just our wonderful benefactor Sheikh Mansour investing through different means. If you were to take out the sponsorship deals directly linked to him, the incease would be a nice little improvement but nothing more.

If we're going to compete with the top clubs then HRH will have to find more ways of investing for years to come, through companies or friends or his own media deals etc, in order to build a platform for us to actually get the kind of revenue Real Madrid get from other sources.

Imo it will take about 10/20 years of solid success to get anywhere near that without the Sheikh putting a large percentage of the dosh in.
