Was there any thought put into a similar situation on the right, maybe with Boateng in the midfield and Micah behind to cover Gigga/Evra?

This is my major concern, we need him for games like this and games like this need him. I'd be gutted if he misses out.

I would be more comfortable with him in midfield than defence to be honest and he had some nice touches on the ball when he was overlapping from fullback, decent cross on him. I think it may be asking too much and sacrificing too much in attack minded players, but it may be something to consider to counter specific threats.
