I thought that at first, but soon realised he was totally right. I suppose the '92 onward or Rag Lover crew will see it like that, but eh, who gives a fuck?

What will happen in the next few years; I'm sure this will be remembered, especially by us!

Summerbee is a legend, he doesnt look bitter atall. He said exactly what any real fan would say when surrounded by those three cunts wanking each other off over the scum. I'll buy him pint ANY time for that.

Redknapp looked like he wanted to call his dad the little faggot, hate that cunt.

Just seen it on youtube cos been at work all day... getting slated by the reds on facebook but i think he played a blinder, sick of city getting overlooked and sky arselicking united, i personally think he did us proud so fair play to him and im proud hes associated with us. He was playing well before i was born in the 80s but i know he was a top player and hes also a city man through and through :-).

Paddy Crerand has been getting away with talking shite on radio etc for years so why cant Mike Summerbee go on Sky and say a few point that are perfectly valid?!

NICE ONE MIKE!!!!

FUCK SKY IF THEY DONT LIKE IT!!!!!!

Bitter? FFS he was spot on. Regardless of the stats bullshit, there was a really good game of footy played by TWO teams today and Sky were wanking themselves silly focusing on one, albeit sublime, moment.

Buzzer, you are a fucking legend mate. Love.

He did sound a little bitter to be fair, and sky showed him up with the stats, but he was talking about a good game between two teams......

The very suggestion that there were two teams in the game was fucking brilliant and made the point that sky have missed for years. I just wish he had made more of the fact that Rooney was voted man of the match which 100% proves the sky/mune love in.

Where I watched it, full of munes, they all fell about laughing when it was announced.

FUCK OFF stats my arse, we bossed possesion for most of the match regardless of ay stats. We had more chances. We had more shots on targets. I saw this flash up on the dodgy foreign channel in my boozer many a time. I didnt see Buzzers comments but I had a few texts of munich armchairs getting wound up so he must have done us proud. LEGEND CTID.

Stick to what you know mate.

Come on, he was saying we dominated posession when the stats show we didn't, it was rather even.
He said we had more shots on goal, which we didn't.

When they showed him the stats he said something like he doesn't believe in statistics...

I love him for sticking up to us, but some of the things he said were a bit too much.

But then again that's how Sky talk about United all the time so maybe it's good that he had a go at them.

Fuckin years of rag-biased -bullshit rammed down our throats from the media & pundits and a true blue stands and fights our corner and you slate him for doign so FFS? Avoidconfusion? You clearly haven't learned how to yet.

If you look at the BBC stats then
Shots:
Rags 11 (6on 5off)
City 13 (8on 5off)
Possesion:
51% Rags
49% City

Well said Mike.

So how can "STATS" be different by two different broadcasters, when they are reporting a factual event? Surely a shot is either on, or off target, there is no inbetween.....

I may have been pissed, but I certainly don't remember 8 shots on target by City, and would tend to agree with Sly's figure of 3 - so I am somewhat dubious about where the BBC have made this up from.

What statistics will never show and where the in- studio reporters let the game down. Be that sky or the beeb, is the poor analysis of the game AND the statistics.

For example, their first goal is analyzed as a brilliant pass from giggs and good finishing by nani. This is fair enough. It was a well taken goal coming off a lump up foward to relieve the pressure by vds. A simply piss poor attempt to win the header by lescott on Rooney. The ball fell perfectly for giggs , who had all the time in the world to a play measured pass forward. That nani almost didn't get, it was so high! Bani did however finish well.

Giggs's only good pass, plus a cross late in the first half. Otherwise he was shockingly poor.

Rooney had been rubbish all through the game, if he had not have miskicked the ball, allowing nani to to eventually receive a pass which hit zabs and changed it's direction, kompany slips and Micah pulls his head out, probably fearing the worst. Rooney takes his overhead kick, ( if Micah had gone for it with his head it would have been dangerous play by Rooney).

Whereas silvas miss was all city creativity, even the goal from city, the deflection was city affecting the game

What I'm trying to say is that we didn't lose because united were magnificent or anything else, two unplanned and fortuitous goals did us in.

Any other day the ball would break for city too.

You are of course spot on, but reading your post from a mune standpoint would mark you out as bitter, blinkered etc, which is exactly how Summerbee came across to the man in the street, and which gave them further ammunition for the "bitter" tag. The thing is too, munes shout about it from the rooftops, and their ridiculous assertions gather momentum amongst fans from other teams and neutrals which leaves many people looking at city like we are in some sort of perpetual denial.

I agree with what he was saying, but just wish he hadn't bothered.....the time will come when the football does the talking, and that will only come when regardless of the nice tiki taka we played at times, there is an end product

Regarding the last sentence; I am glad that I am not the only one who thought that the ball didn't run for us all match but at times the weight of pass just seemed a little off to me. I would just class it as yet more time needed for the time to gel effectively together and we will be bloody frightening next season. Concerning Buzzer's comments I am glad at last somebody is standing up for us in the media and it is one of our own so good on yer Mike and hope to see you on many more Sky broadcasts.
