Shit. If he fucks off in't summer then good luck lad - City is bigger than him though, whatever happens.

Agree. It would be very important to sign the right kind of player to replace him but as the team gets stronger, it will be possible to replace him without weakening us, I've no doubt about that. A player with perhaps a few less goals but a bit better vision would still keep us ticking over nicely. I hope he stays though as he's one of the world's best.

I agree with you mate, I said as much to my dad and my lad halfway through the second half. Let's hope it was the dropping of the tempo of the game as much as anything else because I don't believe there is anyone out there that could replace him

Interesting thought Ted; did you have any particular players in mind who might provide such a function ??

Seemed to be really pleased when he setup Dzeko for the goal.
I have been wondering of late if he does leaves in the summer what kind of replacement are we likely to get!...Attacking MF to partner Silva? Then play Dzeko and Mario up top.
Would be hard to sign a striker in the Tevez mould..Guess we would have to adjust to playing a diff way.

so no one else thought he movement looked a little labored at the end against united? and something similar against aris?

I could be totally wrong I guess ... I just don't think it's like him to lose drive like that. Anyway, hope it's nothing.

He was out of sorts against United and to a certain degree agianst Aris, but sandwiched in between that was Notts County, where his drive was evident as ever. Even when he said he wanted out and all that shit was going on, he still gave everything. The fact he has had a couple of off games doesn't bother me too much at all. More importantly, the fact that we've still performed very well for the most part without him being on top form is encouraging, just in case he does decide to leave us in the summer.

I doubt he will to be honest, but its better to be prepared.

I've stopped worrying about it. What will be will be - as long as we get performances out of him while he's with us then that's the best we can hope for. Just take it week by week with him Gillie and if he goes he goes there's fuck all any of us can do about it, Mancini included.
