Sorry if it has already been done but i have emailed Keith Hackett (PGMOL) with regard to the second yellow card, and recieved the following reply!

David
I can inform you that after the game Mr C informed The FA that the second yellow was incorrect.
I am in Kiev at the moment and will respond to your email once I have had the opportunity to examine the Match Assessor and the Premier League Match Delegate and ProZone details
I can inform you that NO comment was made by this Referee at halftime
Regards from a very cold Kiev
Regards
Keith Hackett

He is very good at responding which is why i will not give out his email address!

That is interesting, and if it's true, Bellers will be available for the Spurs game ;-)

Bellers can't play more than 1 match a week so I doubt he'd have started against Spurs anyway.

I think he would want Bellers at Spurs, then better rest him for the Sunderland home game if possible.

I know the rules on appeals but is there any precedent for this where the ref admits he made a cock of himself and the ban is rescinded?

Just seen something on Sky sayinf that the FA have asked Mark Hughes to explain Bellers sending off. Why don't they ask Clattenburg?

Unless..................they are probing Clattenburg........................if so, I hope it's painful!

They want him to explain his comments regarding what he overheard in the tunnel before the 2nd half.

For what reason? Hughes did not come out with anything other than 'He doesn't appreciate........' and never put a formal complaint in.

Hopefully because they know Clattenburg is a bent bastard and they want to use what Hughes heard to fuck him off again.

One out of four might be understandable. Two out of four even. Four out of four though and all sense of diplomacy should be thrown out the window - he was fucking awful and shouldn't be given another Premiership fixture for a very long time now.

5) we wern't good enough to beat a relegation threatened team, and not for the first time.

6) Bellamy sent off just in the period City was playing better: please, would you think what should be Notlob game playing football eleven against eleven til the end?

Please help me here.
If the ref had already (as reported) informed the FA that the 2nd yellow card was incorrect, then why does this not get rescinded?
If the ref has admitted his mistake and there was no crime committed, why does the ban remain in place?

This really seems too ridiculous for words.

Didn't the same thing happen with Ade against Arsenal by THE SAME REF. He gave him the yellow card, only for this to be looked at later and Clattenburg said he would have sent him off. Then the FA decided to ban Ade.

It's because you cannot appeal a yellow card, that's where Clattenburg used his head and even though he admits it, it makes no difference to what has passed. He was out for Bellers and made sure he couldn't be called for it; trying to be a hero to all his
(r)effing cronies.

Bellers made a rod for his own back, I'm amazed that he and players like him after being in the game for so long have failed to grasp that moaning at a ref, however much of a tosser he might be, is counter-productive.

Saying that, Clattenburg still deserves sacking, and no, I wouldn't appoint him in our sunday league.

Dont agree at all. There is nothing wrong with letting a ref know that you think a decision was wrong or that his performance is below standard. Its part of the game. These are professional athletes. Winners. Its raw passion and I love seeing it from Bellers! It shows he gives a shit and that he wants to win!
I dont care what the protocol is for appeal against a double yellow sending off. I think City should report Clattenburg's, conduct and performance to the FA for inquiry, which should involve looking into why and for what reason Bellamy was sent off. I think after what was overheard being said in the tunnel, together with the bizarre decisions on the pitch and laughable and mysterious 2 yellow cards that led to the sending off, City have a pretty strong case here for bias and misconduct here.

There is nothing wrong with letting a ref know that you think a decision is wrong and if I'm reffing or playing sunday league I have no problem with that at all. It's all down to exactly 'how' you let a ref know that you think his decision is wrong. Some players do it well, others just come across like spoilt kids or loudmouth yobbos and like I said, that's counterproductive and a liability to our team.
