you are right - but it is all about opinions and on this subject I guess there is no right or wrong despite the strength of those opinions - I absolutely fully respect the opinions of those that want a scum win - I just absolutely do not

I think that we are going to be top 4 anyway - and a double with the scum not winning the title would be nice. We are out of it but I would hugely prefer the arse to win the title over the scum

Fucking bang on. Why do people think that Chelsea winning and us not finishing in the top 4 are mutually exclusive.

There are what, 9/10 games left this season. It is in our hands whether we finish in the top 4. Hows about Chelsea paste the rags tonight, and we go and do the same to Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham in a few weeks time - well, because we know that our negative manager hasnt got the fucking balls or ability.

If we dont finish top 4, it has fuck all to do with Chelsea beating United tonight.

Not really. It is in our hands so it only depends on us. Chelsea losing tonight might be of help but it's not necessary, we have the ability to get enough points to keep them behind, and Spurs too.

As for the ability or the balls of our manager...he may not have the balls as you say but as far as ability goes, I seriously doubt he doesn't have it. And you know what? If he doesn't have the balls and we trash Chelsea 4-2 like we did last season, then fuck me, I am happy for him not to have balls.

He makes mistakes like every other manager does (otherwise Arsenal would have won much more trophies than they have, so would Chelsea and even the rags) and in some games his selections/tactics/substitutions have found me disagreeing but overall, I'm happy of how he's managing City so far. Not that my opinion counts, only the board's one does.

Im_Spartacus wrote:we were extremely lucky not to have been 3 or 4 nil down at half time. Chelsea had a serious off day, and we played the boring negative shite we have played every single time we have played a top 5 side (eg, what cost us the CL last year). You could play like that a dozen times against Chelsea and you would be lucky to win one.

With regards ability, the jury is most definately out - it was HIS fault alone that we did not qualify for the CL last year. We bottled it with our approach to Arsenal and Spuds in the run in last year, both of which were winnable games which we made zero effort to win.

It is in our hands, we just need to go out and get the prize, rather than hoping others around us will fuck up so much that a few pedestrian draws at the end of the season away from home will see us through. I am yet to see whether he has that in him.

If he doesn't I fear we will have a new manager next season

i think it's because a lot of people know that manchester city cannot cope with any kind of pressure you can see that when they concede against fulham so i'd rather have chelsea and tottenham deflated by the time we come to face them rather than all three of us on similar points seeing as everyone knows we never beat tottenham and though we have a good record over chelsea, they're gonna be out for revenge. city are still the type of team who an off form striker gets a brace against. crack on deluding yourself though!

I just realised I don't really care. I just don't care. This match doesn't define our season, the 4th is ours to lose.
I'm just hoping for loads of red cards for both teams

They have turned it now, 2-1 to them. But I'm not impressed, not at all.

I really rate Luiz, what a player! he's got it all and with he's age..instead we are stuck with Hughes 24mill madness signing.

We shouldn't be worried about Chelsea, they will finish in the top four. It's spurs that we should be wary off, so as a city supporter that hates the rags, tonight was a fucking fantastic result.

Is this Boateng or Kolarov we're talking about?

Fucking disasterous result for us tonight. Now they'll be coming at us full of confidence with all guns blazing rather than nervous & shot through.

Thank God for Reading.

We screwed up not signing Luiz - then again we could have signed Nando

what i find strange is that a team sat in third and been in the top 3 for the majority of the season is aiming for 4th spot! Anyways, im delighted about tonights result, we're still in third and it's quite concievable that stretford could lose sunday, against chelsea again, against arsenal and totally implode ..it would be nice if we just went for it, id hate it to be another season of 'what ifs'!

Luiz is a talented player who may end up a top CB but at the moment, he's flying by the seat of his pants defensively. He should have been off the pitch tonight before Chelsea equalised & he was a liability in the last game he played. He's the last thing we would need in the middle of our defence right now, however good he is on the ball. He would seriously fuck us up right now.

Even if they do fuck up, it's unlikely we can get enough points to catch them. We could however get 3rd or even 2nd if Arsenal have their usual collapse. Our result Sat & Chelsea's tonight means we're under pressure just to get 4th now though.

Luiz could be our left back. He's sheer class and could fill in across the back four or defensive midfield for that matter. MOTM for the second time in two games according to the BBC.

I can't take any pleasure in the Rags getting stuffed. I'm fucking worried about fourth place.
