We Won't Blow This Chance Surely

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

We Won't Blow This Chance Surely

Postby Piccsnumberoneblue » Wed Mar 02, 2011 9:08 am

With a home tie against a lower ranked Prem team and a Championship side awaiting in the quarter finals, with most of the biggest teams out, we surely have a golden opportunity. But we've been here so many times before, West Ham at home a few seasons ago stands out in my mind. We won't fuck it up again will we?
What a chance for us to finally get rid of the monkey on our back.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

I know my lad (Feed the Goat) will be feeling that we are going all the way. And he always takes it badly when it goes wrong. Not this time City. Come on Blues!

If the fans get behind the team, the team SHOULD produce & if they do, they're too good for Villa. If there's no atmosphere however, chances are Villa will raise their game & beat us or at least get a replay imo.

We have a big part to play. If we don't show up, we don't deserve the cup or the Sheikh's efforts imo.

Hopefully last nights results will stoke the crowd up tonight, and really make it a good atmosphere. Lets get behind the boys and get one step from wembley.

Spot on, we need to show the same commitment that our owners have. Half arsed attendances do nothing for the team.

A real life 100% "Typical City" test for us tonight. "Typical City" will make a balls of it and go out here, again wasting a gilt-edged opportunity.

However if the club is ever to rid itself of this tag, then we simply HAVE to win games like tonights and take advantage when we have such opportunities. Over to you City. Its about time we stopped talking about out potential and what we can achieve, and actually go out and do it eh?

If we don't get to at least the semi's now then Mancini should be on the dole come the summer.
League isn't looking too good at the moment with us potentially level with spurs on points in 4th, and with us in bad form.
Missing out on 4th could be softened if we win a couple of cups, but we've got to make sure there are 0 fuck ups along the way.

I was thinking of creating a thread about this last night after hearing the result................

It's in our hands now, lets hope we do better than we did against Spuds last season!!!!!

I'd settle for the FA Cup and 4th spot ;-)

Even in our cup winning dream the cunts score? Can't we just have 4-0 & Rooney off with a broken leg?

haha... you're totally wrong mate. typical city will go out to reading in the next round... manage to finish 4th behind chelsea and then watch spurs win the chumps league.

then mancini will be sacked and we'll bring in darren ferguson as manager. and finally buy stelios and/or malbranque.

The West Ham quarter final from a few years back was the first thing that sprung to my mind too. If I remember correctly, weren't all or most of the Top 4 already knocked out too? Big Big chance for us now which we HAVE to take
