Massively surprised he was allowed leave Spain without a major strangle with Barcelona or Madrid for his signature.Along with Villa and Capdevilla he was one of the the only Spanish regulars not playing at one of those clubs last season.

The guy's a master.

So pleased he got that goal. Loved the way he ran forward celebrating it with his hand aloft and some Villa player try to bat it aside - he didn't even notice and jogged on. He punches above his weight physically and is streets ahead with his football brain. I'm salivating over the level of legendaryness he could achieve, and I do not care if that isn't a word.

He's a class act, he settled in faster than I initially thought. He's doing great for us, let's hope he'll stay with us for a long term.

Just a lovely footballer to watch play. And when all the rest of the team realise it they will make better runs around him.

He's simply magic. Loved how he held off both Bannan and someone else in the corner late on then rolled them and drew the foul.

Holds the ball up so well for a little fella and his vision is sublime. A genuine world class player and hard worker at the same time.

Potentially a great player. Needs to score more goals like tonight's in order to actually be one.

I just love his off the ball movement. A true pleasure to watch. He and Tevez appear to be on the same page. Not quite there with Balo yet but it's coming.
