Kolo tested positive for a specified substance

Postby Moonchesteri » Thu Mar 03, 2011 7:02 pm

???

Manchester City confirm that the FA has informed Kolo Toure that an ‘A-sample’ provided by him has tested positive for a specified substance.

As result of this, he has been suspended from participating in all first team and non-first team matches pending the outcome of the legal process.

There will be no further comment from the football club at this stage.

I'm surely at fault here btw.

I was just thinking the other day that "surely footballers are using doping, somehow they just don't get caught!"

Kolarov could do with a bit of speed.

Well he alredy got suspended.
Next I would imagine a second sample will be taken and let's see what is the result of that. Then of course, we do not know what is the "specified substance". That has a huge impact on the ultimate outcome.

Just to clarify, he has been banned by the club until a B sample is taken and that it is City who have opted to bring it in to the public domain.

Interesting way to handle it. Much better than it getting leaked I'd say.

When they made this announcement, did the OS have the mandatory 6*'s to clearly delineate that it was an official drugs test?
