If he has taken something that was not stated on the ingredient info then it is not his bastard fault - Id sue the fucking manufacturer.

On the other hand if it was then...........

I would - I have known a few people who have been in the same situation regardless of if I liked them or not.

BTW - I was right to question Balotellis shit attitude...he changed completely on his last match showing...peacemaker and smiled a lot.

In fairness, Wenger was only answering a question he had been asked and IMHO he did what he needed to do. He spoke well of Kolo and made it plain he thought Kolo was above reproach. He then cut the subject short by keeping the subject light and joking about the wife.
Wenger did well there.

Fair enough , but if City and the player aren't making any comments, then neither should he. Its obvious that City want to let the process take its course without intervention from anyone, let alone anyone from outside the club.

In fairness to Wenger, He was asked the question. he could have chosen not to comment but took the opportunity to give a positive character reference for Kolo.
Mark Hughes has also been asked similar in his press gathering. he too made no big deal about it but took the opportunity to give Kolo a good character eference.

City are the club involved in this and have to be more guarded in what they can or can't say.
It is useful to have others defending Kolo from the outside, as it can set the media tone to be more sympathetic.

Agreed.

At least we didn't come out before anything had been said and rant hysterically about an inevitable media witch-hunt anyway, like baconchops trying to pre-emptively bias the Shrek elbow thing.

I wonder what the Sheikh'll make of it, not good for our combined image.

i don't get how someone could think two well-respected managers in the game giving one of our players some positive vibes in a time of duress could be viewed as a bad thing.

i hope this turns out okay for Kolo...he seems like a jovial, good natured gentleman. Sad if he's that much of a retard or ignorant that he ingested something but if he did i think he will bounce back. He's not some coke-sniffing nutter who's off the rails and out of control. He'll learn from this and move on regardless of the outcome.

cheers

I heard a great phrase on the radio about the significance of thepress in politics..."SETTING THE WEATHER"
Meaning that the media say sets the climate that politics debates in.

It explains how both Wenger and Hughes have helped set the climate that Kolo's case will be publicly discussed and argued in. At least until the facts may prove otherwise...Kolo looks to have a sympathetic media who seem to view this as an inadvertant or at least unknowing act.

I was very pleased to hear Wenger backing Kolo, since the club can't be seen to comment on it before any outcome. Some support from a neutral corner was just what was needed. He's also gone up a bit in my estimation (not enough to cover all his whining though, and certainly not enough to make up for being French [ONLY JOKING - or am I?])

The Football Club has noted public comments by a number of parties connected to Kolo Toure, regarding the ongoing matter of his current suspension.
Whilst the Club will continue to make no comment on the nature, status and possible outcome of this case until its conclusion, it would like to stress that public statements from such individuals are unhelpful and in some cases untrue.

The Club would like to make it absolutely clear that until comments made by a Mr Gouriso in particular appeared in the public domain, officials of Manchester City knew neither of his existence nor even of his purported connection to Kolo Toure. Suggestions that he has spoken to club officials are wholly without foundation.

Don't think the club are to happy about such statements ........................

i think they pointed out what they weren't happy about. Sure they probably don't like it discussed in general, but again, what i wrote above i stand by. As a fan of this club, third party managers who have a lot of respect in the game, despite however one of us might feel about either Wenger or Hughes, saying good, positive things about Kolo Toure isn't a bad thing. It just isn't.

Wow, don't believe I have had to make a serious post in ages.

The reason that a diet pill is banned is because diuretics act as a masking agent for other drugs. The reason he could be banned for two years is simply because they treat it as a worse case scenario.

how can you call that "serious" without a single "fucktard" in the entire post?

slippery slope

I just hope it's not a long ban.

If he already has to take diet pills between training sessions to avoid being a fat fucker, imagine what he's going to be like after several months out? He'll come back looking like BB King.

Exaclty what I said and a few on here questioned why Wenger & hughes shouldn't coment. If City don't deem it right to comment , then neither should anyone else, its fuck all to do with them.
