I would ask though if it is an attempt at deflection, what exactly is it deflecting from?
Life. The universe. Football forums. Who knows.
Do I think the players running round are thinking themselves 'Hang on the gaffer thinks we're a bit tired. Now you mention it I do feel a bit tired. Maybe I sho...zzzz'. No not really.
Harry has been banging on about his court case and its impact on his ability to do the job (oh get your fucking excuses in early 'arry me old son). Do I think Spurs players are running round during the match fretting about Uncle 'arry getting banged up? Perhaps it was preying on Hutton's mind as he dragged the Wolves player back for a penalty. As for taggart's mob God alone knows what was worrying them as they collapsed against the dippers like a Masterchef soufflé under John's withering stare. And God alone knows what was on their mind against WHU. Maybe it was King Kenny taking Andy to the Boyzone concert and not any of them. That sort of favouritism can sap morale you know. Oh Kenny, what were you thinking?
Yeah Mancini bangs on about tiredness at the moment. He's always banging on about something. Usually concentrating and working hard. Personally I don't pay that much attention to what Mancini says to the media because it is usually just harmless pap. What I find astonishing is that people on here think that the players only get to hear from Mancini via the media and that their entire tone and attitude is shaped by what he says in his PC's or via that stupid idiot who does the OS interviews. Our outlook is shaped by these mediums because that is all we have to go on but I seriously doubt the players outlook is.
