*** Barcelona v Arsenal ***

Postby LookMumImOnMCF.net » Tue Mar 08, 2011 7:34 pm

Undone by Brum and fustrated by Sunderland, can they now beat Barca?

Fabregas & Van Persie start.

Barca: Valdes Dani Alves, Busquets, Abidal, Adriano; Mascherano; Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, David Villa, Messi.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Gibbs, Diaby, Wilshere, Rosicky, Fabregas, Nasri, Van Persie

Looking forward to this one.

Fixed for you, WW.

Predictions? Van Persie to come off after 15 mins for Bendtner? Koscielny to boot Szczesny in the face on a clearance even when Szczesny's called for it? Commentator to reference a "certain way of playing football" in the first 5 mins?

What channel is it on? And is it shaping up to be a belter? Need to know whether or not I should drive home to watch it. Not got Sky (sports)...

Why is Clichy playing so narrow? The ball to Alves is on every time Barca attack. I've seen Fabregas and Nasri both fill in for him in the first half hour.

Same is on the other flank.
But, Arsenal need to keep it tight in the middle or Xavi/Iniesta/Messi/Pedro/Villa WILL score through the middle. And Barcelona do not have any good headers which mean they have to try to put in low balls and none of them has been a major worry for Arse imo.

I realise they're trying to keep Barca narrow but Alves is too dangerous a player to give the amount of room that Clichy is giving him. Arsenal have offered nothing to this game so far. And they criticised us for our tactics at the Emirates. Hypocritical, frog eating pussies!
