Chelsea have one game before that match, at home to Copenhagen in the champions league where they will rest a few players.

We have 3 including a 3,000 mile trip to the Ukraine.

It's the price of being successful but doesn't mean tiredness is not a valid reason or excuse.

And the ideal player for this game and the counter attack Roberto will employ is playing for some team in South Wales.

Actually speaking to Cardiff fans Bellamy has been piss poor recently so I couldn't see him ripping into the Chelsea defence. He is not some sort of Messiah I think we were lucky to get the level of performance out of him that West Ham an many others couldn't due to injuries.

Must be pretty recent then & they must be more fickle than our fans because he scored two absolutely fantastic match winning goals, one in about 6th minute of injury time only about 2 weeks ago & was a hero. He'd also be twice as good with better players as he is with those headless trogs who never get the ball out to him when he makes a run.

Yep Cardiff fans are pretty down at the moment ad it looks like their season is really coming off the rails.

If you offered me a draw at Stamford Bridge I'd snap your hand off.

If he has been poor god help them, that said you can only carry a club so far, Put him back in a blue shirt and John Terry defends 20 yards further back, Bellamy is a massive miss for me and A player City need with the hit em on the break bollocks we play a lot.

Has anyone actually heard the questions the media are asking him? It is quite possible that the media are asking him about tiredness and he responds about the topic. Then that's what the media report.

It happens all the time, like a few weeks ago when the headline news on the Sky Sports website was 'Adebayor tells Fabregas to leave Arsenal and join Real Madrid'. I think it's unlikely that Adebayor has gone out of his way to make that statement, but a reporter asked him a question and he responded (what he said wasn't actually bad at all!!!).

I tend not to read too much into reports or interviews even when our players/manager have been quoted. The media style their questions to get answers to suit their story and then they can put a 'quote' in their report.

Playing every 3-4 days is bound to take it's toll on the squad, that's just a reality. But the fact is despite this (and whatever Mancini says in his interviews), we are still 3rd in the league and in the latter stages of 2 cup competitions. They're the important things for me and not a few interviews! I honestly don't think it's anything for people to get so worked up about.

I <think> i've read all this thread and the only thing I can think right now is that i slightly agree with your sentiment carlos but using a video that smells to me like some kind of awful sentimental "america - fuck yeah" bollocks to illustrate the point is quite nauseating.

A draw would be a fantastic result up at Stamford Bridge. No question about that.

In the League, it's actually 3 games in the last 18...you could make that 3 losses in 19 games.
In 1937 we'd lost 7 games in the 1st half of the season...we then went on to be unbeaten in the 2nd half. 22 games all told.
Just sayin.

No, it would be a pretty good result, but everyone around us will be hoping for that result, so fantastic?? Absolutely not.

A victory a stamford bridge would be a fantastic result.

Didn't watch the video first time around and had no idea what the fuck you were getting at. Makes slightly more sense now I know the kid was disabled.

Still don't know how watching that video is gonna make our players less tired though.

Football's a completely different kettle of fish. Some weeks I play Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights. If I take the Monday off, I play better on the Tuesday. The more frequently you play, the more you pick up knocks.

Also, I dare say the dad would've got a quicker time on the Iron Man had he not already had to cart his disabled son around a marathon course (which sort of defeats your point). If we had less frequent games and more players to share the burden, we'd be sharper.
