Clarence Seedorf

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Clarence Seedorf

Postby Crossie » Thu Mar 10, 2011 10:56 am

Watching him last night, I'd really love him here for his last couple of seasons as a Vieira "Mr done it all" replacement, and someone to help bulk us up for a possible Champions League run next season.

I know it would be a mercenary type one last pay cheque deal for him, but we can afford it, and having him in the squad would be fantastic.

I'm not interested in City employing players aged 35 anymore even if they are legendary players.

5 or 6 years younger then yes,..but not anymore, he's slower than grandpa Pat carrying chubby MJ while crawling backwards up a ladder.

Seedorf would be a great signing .... in 1998. However, without the useage of Doctor Emmet Brown and a Flux Capacitor Id say we let him continue with the Milan Vets Team.

I never got the big deal with him in his prime if I'm honest. Very good player but his achievements outway his ability IMO.

I agree.
I always thought he was good player surrounded by great players. Good, tough, pacy and nice left foot but nothing out of this world.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Too old for our beloved City and too lazy to play in Premier League! Clarence isn't a mercenary at all but he's a sort of businessman who also play football. We need only young talented british players, please!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Urghhh..... I meant his right foot..... he is a good player..... never the very best in the world imo. Although I can appreciate that someone would think otherwise.

Anywhichway he is wayyyyyyyyy too old.

I think Seedorf was a fantastic player. it's a shame that he didn't get to play more for the Dutch national team. He's a bit of a de jong type, but with more skill.

There's no hole digging going on here mate, the guy is/was a very good player who's achievements are many... what I said was I felt his achievements outweighed his class IMO.

There are many players who have won plenty but are not regarded as the very best in the world and I believe he's one of them. A luxury IMO and not someone to be marvelled at.

You talk of overachieving as if it's a bad thing. I believe that making the most of what you've got is something our club have needed to learn for thirty years.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.
