This can't be the official match thread as it's not using the new politically correct spelling of Kyiv which mcfc.co.uk likes to use :-p

'Kiev' is correct, according to Bernard Matthews' Spelling Conventions.

When written like that, it should transliterate to 'Kijiv/Kiyiv'. Bernard Matthews knew his stuff, though, so I'm not going to be swayed too quickly.

Nevermind the city, the club name is Dynamo anyway. Calling them Kiev/Kyiv is a bit like calling Utd just Manchester.

I must admit I quite enjoy these little snippets.

Going to be a tough game but really looking forward to it. This is what having Sheikh Mansour's money is all about. Kiev tonight in the Europa. QF of the FA Cup on Sunday. Return leg against Kiev to get to that QF then the crunch match at Chelsea.
