I would have said what a waste of 10 minutes that was typing it out but just the one person that can actually debate it is enough to think it was worth it. John68 you are a credit to this forum and my kind of guy when it comes to discussing football.

Tis a shame there is not more like you but nevermind.......

I hope you are all smiling at the end of May, i really do.

Brilliant......lets all be like you and John.....are you going to give out the "feed the world" T shirts or am I???

I've given up, out of all the cups and not been anywhere near the top 4 places in the league all season.

What's the point, I give up.

Ok, smartarse, going back to your original, self ingulgent point, you think by us turning up and making lots of noise, we'll win? I agree that a stadium full of booing wouldn't help, but if it's just passion related, why did Poznan get knocked out?

So, as I originally said, I will be there, but I don't think we'll win anything, or get through on Thursday, as this team, from the manager down, doesn't have the bottle for a fight. A few individuals do, but not as a team.

You have your opinion and I have mine. At the end of the season, one of us will be more right than the other, but that doesn't make either opinion invalid.

If you don't like opinions, try bluemoon, where one person posts something and the next 400 people put 'This ^^^' followed by a fecking smiley

If we carry on form wise we will be exactly that come the last day of the season.

This thread isn't about that, there are plenty of other threads to discuss those things.

This thread is a call out/question to ask are fans giving up or have they already given up? If you have given up or are giving up then please stay at home for the next two games.

What we need more than ever is support and encouragement in our next two home games, if you are not prepared to give both then stay away. I've invested 7 months of frustration with a little bit of pleasure mixed in between

At which point I stopped reading (seriously).

Mancini took over a good to decent squad, has been allowed to spend heavily to improve it and yet is producing - with rare exceptions - the most mind numbing football I've seen for ages. We should be the English version of Barca by now.

Mancini out !

ive lost count of the big games we have fucked up on when the fans have been the so called "12th man" ...ok its all well and nice if we create a great atmosphere but at the end of day if the 11 players on the pitch cant be arsed............

I've not given up in the least.

In a very perverse way I actually am more optimistic in our chances of going through against Kiev than if we'd come back with a 1-0 lead. Losing like that is pure City and I always fancy us to turn over a deficit far more than I do us to defend a lead.

I'm loving this season. I've waited all my life for this kind of "involvement" in various competitions at the business end of the season. Sure it might go tits up and we end up empty handed but it's great experience for the squad and, more importantly, for us as fans. Many of the players have been here before. We, with the exceptions of the baby boomer massive, are clueless novices at this lark....and it shows.

Quite right mate. How many times has our season been over in January? Too many to remember.

Yeah, March feels much better.

I'm joking, I'm joking. I presume the FA cup semi isn't till April, for a start.

Never give up. Never never.

Gillingham should teach us never to give up.

Tottenham should teach us never to give up.

It's not over till the ref blows full time. Until then, we have a chance.

If we wanna go through, well them the ukrainians must face hell. The stadium must be the most hostile thing they encounter in their lives. Only Shevchenko and the gk, Shovkovsky (who is a calamity), know what pressure of a stadium is like.
We can comeback, but i don't know if the players will be motivated.
All in all, this is a continenant trophy, and can be a beautiful start for the years that will come.
