What a palaver!

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

What a palaver!

Postby Wonderwall » Sat Mar 12, 2011 12:15 am

Not posted much but read a lot of bullshit, some of the posts are pure Drivel.

Liverpool fans are famous for getting behind their team and making a massive difference in the home leg. We need to do this and we can be a catalyst to help our team instead of being a bunch of whinging pansies. If you are UK based, get yourself there on Thursday, book an hour off work and make the effort, god knows we deserve it.

I am in Northampton on Thursday and will make the game come hell or high water. Now is not the time to give in, now is the time to raise the bar to a new level. THEY NEED US and we need them.

Come on City

Are you having a laugh? What is different in this thread to the one i posted where i got a load of shit?

As it stands wonderwall you are spot on, even though this does now make you a self indulgent, 15 month old attention seeker like it has apparently made me.

Hamburg Mk.II for me. Two goal deficit, horrible first leg, ability within the squad to rally at Eastlands. Can't wait.

Hope Silva or Tevez can put in a game like Elano did - that was the single best performance I've seen in 15 or so years watching the club and one of my favourite City games.

It's almost a pity the club have done the bananas and cheap tickets for the Reading game. I think we'll overturn the deficit this time though, just got a hunch.

Shame we can't bring back Big Phil to lead the line.

What?
so me going on Thursday and contributing to a great atmosphere which, in turn, drives the players on to winning the tie somehow detracts from any argument I might make as to whether Mancini is doing the job properly?

Give over!

If we won the tie under those circumstances it would be down to the fans and the player's response - not the manager.

I went to get my tickets yesterday, I wanted 5 in the 2nd tier it was virtually all sold out so there should be a big crowd thursday, now lets make some noise, n present Kiev with the type of intimidating atmosphere every team faces when they go to Turkey n play, it must be fantastic to play in those arenas with your home fans so passionate n driving you on whilst pressurising the opposition

Yes it is what you said, and although there are multiple threads about Mancini which are negative in nature, the worst example for me would be yours that you started in November, then had a torrid time when we were playing well, flying high in the league, in the quarter final of the FA cup - and then the bad result you had been waiting over 3 months arrived and you could happily bring that old thread to the surface again!

Personaly, for me this is about supporting the team, staying to the end (we empty out quicker after a win at Eastlands than we do if we loose these days!!) Mancinis coments about tiredness are getting on my nerves too - but being realistic, if we drop out of the cups, end up being in 5th then at least you could whip out your "i may as well be the first to say it" thread again, so at least a few would be happy!
