Im no expert or anything but i watch a decent bit of seria a on espn, usually record any decent games and try and get a look at them on weeknights.Edinson Cavani is banging them in for Napoli this season.Sanchez is obviously another really good shout and Pato and Pastore are very talented young players.I liked the look of Jovetivc of Fiorentina but have not seen anything from him in a long time, i presume hes injured

I wonder if we sign Pastore if it would be enough to convince his countryman to stay on.

That would be an amazing partnership.

He's been top notch for Brescia and Napoli in Seria A, chips in with more than his fair share of goals for a midfielder.

Been thinking about other possible players and Milo Krasic would be one i would really like to see at city, very intelligent player.

Weird thread...Nani?? Seriously? Sanchez is the easy winner for me. The guy just has unreal creativity and ball control.

Can't agree with you about krasic, however. He dives as much as Nani, maybe more.

Don't get me started on Di Maria. Holy cow. No 1 diving talent in world football right now.

Adem Ljajic, great young prospect. He was at the rags few seasons ago, very young at the time. plays on the left, has a really good sense of the game, "kinda" like Silva.

Me likes Gourcuff, Hamsik, Sanchez.

I said a couple of seasons ago that he was a slightly better version of Stevie Ireland's one good season. He's in Turkey now (Galatasaray?), so he could be tempted over.

BiB, Hagi threw him out. He's with Dynamo Moscow now. I'd have concerns over his Prem suitability though. The descriptions in the video below hits the nail on the head.

A typical no.10, Zvjezdan Misimović has been the leading creative player in Germany for 2 seasons running. Like all old-fashioned playmakers, he lacks pace and has no defensive inclinations whatsoever, but there aren't many better attacking midfielders around in Europe. He boasts an excellent range of passing, set piece prowess, 2-footed ability and a knack of scoring great goals.

08/09 season stats - 6 goals, 23 assists
09/10 season stats - 14 goals, 18 assists

One I would take a punt at is Samir Nasri, a bit soft but very talented player n virtually everyone at Arse has their price

Agree with that description. From the highlighted bit, I'd guess Mancini would hate him, too! Didn't know he was in Russia. Is it a loan or permanent?

I'd questioned his suitability for the premiership. Although his distribution is second-to-none, the lack of space given to a player in England would severely detriment this.

It's a permanent deal, 3 years I believe. He was loaned to Galatasaray, but played some games for Wolfsburg at the start of the campaign. When he fell out with Hagi he was only allowed a move to Russia, Qatar & the like where the season starts in March or a return to Wolfsburg, because of that 2 clubs max rule. The latter was a no go because the parting was a bit messy. Which again is a funny story, because he requested a move to Schalke (where Magath wanted him), but Wolfsburg refused & shipped him to Turkey instead. As of yesterday Magath is Wolfsburg manager again (& Rangnick returned to Schalke).

It's all a bit crazy in the Bundesliga right now. Someone even linked Mark Hughes with the Bayern job, haha.

Oddly enough, I suggested that the Bundesliga would be the ideal place for him to ply his trade when he left us. I think Bayern is too big a deal for him to manage still, but I think he'd be a good match for a Europa League contender like Schalke, Wolfsburg or Hamburg.

The Hamburg job was available shortly after he started looking for work - I was very surprised he wasn't linked with it at the time.

I thought about it at the time, but it may have been a bit too soon after he'd nicked two of their best players, so he may have been pretty unpopular with their fans.

I think most of them were happy they got that kind of money. Kompany was injured a lot & de Jong was good for them but not special.
