Overreaction imho. People forget how crap Bridge and Garrido were for the majority times just because they are not here anymore.

Exactly my thoughts. Bridge plays 1 decent game for West Ham and everybody forgets how terrible he was all of last season.

Bridge was the pick of a well-drilled defence yesterday, that let Spurs have the majority of the ball, but prevented them from either reaching the bye-line, or from shooting too regularly from the danger area inside the box.

Bridge has steadily improved the longer he has played for us, but I still have the suspicion that he's better taking the ball forward, than defending in any 'last ditch' sense.

Wonder whether we'll try to buy him if we stay up. His wages are a likely sticking point.

There is a cheaper option. Gibbs from Arsenal. He will be no. 2 to Clichy for years to come, so I bet he would be willing to move. He's still young and can only improve with more experience as opposed to AK who's set in his ways and will never make it in the PL.

Bridge was shocking for us, even more of a defensive liability than Kolarov.I hated the way teams always attacked down Bridges side as they new he would choke.Kolarov marginally better as he has a decent left foot.
